If you want to install and use the Venmo: Send & Receive Money app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Venmo: Send & Receive Money in the search bar and press Search. Click on Venmo: Send & Receive Money application icon. A window of Venmo: Send & Receive Money on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Convenient, but so many issues

    By Gdbjbvb
This app makes it easy to transfer financial assets (e.g. money) quickly from one bank account to another. But this company has so many issues that it has yet to develop past, that to me personally make Cash App or even Apple Pay more useful. One major issue would be the lack of help available when the app fails to work. I recently had to get a new card because my old debit card wasn’t working properly anymore. So after attempting to add the new card back, Venmo quickly said I added to many cards and prevented all future transactions. Meanwhile I’ve only ever added my credit and debit card to this app, so I’m not sure what “too many cards” relates to. But as for help, their inconvenient hours don’t relate to the days you would expect individuals to use the app. What I mean is Saturday and Sunday are excluded from help service, but a typical bank works these hours because when money issues arise, you definitely want the quick service. LEARN VENMO. A second issue comes from this too, and it’s that transactions made won’t be processed over the weekend and that just makes life harder for the people who needed it to go through at an adequate enough time.
  • This app is terrible I do not recommend it at all

I downloaded the app because my family member referred it to me to send me money out of state and i tried to transfer it to my account and it made my wait 4 days which was fine because it was around the holidays so I expected it to be delayed but the 4 days passed and the money just sat there so I contacted someone through the chat and was informed my account was frozen which is already annoying that I wasn’t informed to begin with and was just waiting as well as the money not even being able to be refunded when I asked then I could not verbally talk to anyone on the phone to address the situation and ask them why my account was frozen I had to keep talking thru the chat which was very inconvenient it took about 4 more days of me sending them my i.d. As well as bank statements just for them to tell me my account was deactivated and I was no longer able to use it and bc I was in violation of who knows what because I constantly asked why ?? And they never answered me ...I gave them all my information which proved my identity this was my first time using it as well as sending them statements showing all my transactions which I’m absolutely sure there was nothing wrong with that either I have had that card for years with no problem so this whole process was a nightmare and still was never able to use this app my advise use a different app DO NOT USE VENMO
  • Venmo = Easy and Reliable!

    By RoverSitter
I wish PayPal and Venmo were actual real banks because I certainly feel like the financial portion of my life is not complicated at all when using both of their platforms (app & website). I’ve never had an issue even when there was a small bump in the road like when my instant transfers weren’t showing up for example. They took care of it immediately. Any time I’ve ever had to call customer support I am always treated and helped kindly, respectfully, friendly, and patiently. I really couldn’t ask for a better way to manage my funds. I mainly use Venmo and PayPal for both personal and business. My only gripe would be I wish they were a real bank with a brick and mortar! Even better would be to replace institutions such as ::ahem:: it rhymes with Tells Cargo and other banks that seemingly only charge fee after fee even if it’s charging a fee that was their error on top of charging another fee. My real bank experience lately has been an utter nightmare and I am truly grateful to have the option to use Venmo and PayPal whenever possible! Please become a real bank soon! Whatever it takes! I’m sure you would have a line of customers waiting including myself!
  • Just out for money

    By josie843
Boy, would I give Venmo zero stars if I could. Let me start by saying, Is Venmo convenient? Yes But are they only out for themselves, YES. and are there plenty of other apps that can do the same thing?, YES. I recently sent a friend money on Venmo. Unfortunately, I sent this money to the wrong person. I have no way of contacting this person or getting in touch with them to send back the money. I thought the process would be quite easy to receive my money back once I reached out to Venmo, but boy was I wrong. I tried contacting Venmo through chat multiple times and each time they told me they wouldn’t be able to help me. I was certainly not going to give up that money just because they “couldn’t do anything for me”. I reached out to my bank and they were able to get me my money back after a couple of days. I was very happy until I received a message from Venmo stating that my bank was not authorizing the payment and that Venmo was going to “have my back” and loan me the money, this had essentially put me in debt with Venmo. Now, any money that I receive will go straight to them. This is absurd! I reached out to Venmo once again to explain to them the situation and they again told me that they could not do anything for me. Venmo is only out to make money off of their users. They will absolutely not have any sympathy or help you if there is any kind of mix up. STAY AWAY!

    Love this app
  • Venmo doesn’t need to be social media

    By sunnybunz90
The social media aspect of Venmo is weird and totally unnecessary. Nobody needs to know who paid who for what but the 2 parties. It’s just inappropriate to share those details with everybody

So I’ve had a case opened for close to a month with Venmo. An issue occurred where I was charged twice for a payment (without getting into details it was for more than a couple hundred dollars - an amount where you do not want anything going wrong with the transaction.) The second charge occurred 1 day after the first one cleared. So I immediately called Venmo. As per their associate, Venmo can’t reverse transactions and they suggested I put a stop payment on the pending charge. So I followed Venmo’s instructions. The next morning I checked my account and saw that BOTH payments were stopped. I called my bank and they assured me the issue wasn’t on their end. Called Venmo and they told me that “sometimes their software glitches if reception isn’t perfect (I was connected to WiFi at the time I made the initial transaction. Admittedly my reception wasn’t perfect, but come on.) Their solution was to recharge my account for the amount again, which I agreed to. One month later the charge finally comes through on my end and I go to finally pay my debt to Venmo...only to find my bank account is still flagged with them. Now Venmo wants me to cover up information on a bank statement on my computer screen (per Venmo: they do not accept screenshots from a cellphone) and send them a photo. To me this is completely unacceptable. In short, the app is good for paying your friends back for a round of drinks or avoiding splitting small bills at restaurants. If I intended to use this app again (which I don’t; IMO any app that deals with money either needs to be as close to flawless as possible or needs to have the customer support behind it to swiftly correct issues) I wouldn’t use it for sending more than $50. It seems neither the software nor the customer support is there yet.
