Download and install Target on your Laptop or Desktop computer

4.5 Rating: 4.5 - 1,155,536 votes

If you want to install and use the Target app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Target for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Target for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Target in the search bar and press Search. Click on Target application icon. A window of Target on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Target icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Target for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Target for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Not a bad app

    By LadyTea3
This is my first time writing a review for the Target app. First I’d like to say that I enjoy using it. The app has lots of nice colors. Everything is done in a nice order and you can find what you want. But there are some cons. One, I wish that I could put things on my list in any order that I wanted like alphabetical or by number or by category. I also wish that when you place an order online that you could make sure you had all of your items in place for pick up at the store or sent to your house. I recently placed and order for two Halloween items and one came to my house and the other went to store pickup. I didn’t see the error until I had finished the order and saw the email the next day. I called, but the order was already being shipped. At least I can take the order back to the store. I am glad that you can use your debit card to place orders. Some places don’t let you do that and it makes it easier to keep track of what you have gotten. Overall I am very pleased with it and I am glad that they got rid of the little rewards bit where you unlocked prizes in the app after you bought certain items or went to different departments in the store. It was hard to try to unlock all of the categories.
  • Keep up the great work!

When our Target Store opened, I was so relieved. I didn’t like shopping at K/W-Mart, I found their clothing to be unstylish, their home goods unimaginative and the rest was just a blur. I shopped those places because there was no where else. Enter Target....(ahhhh) I have had exceptional customer service both in store and online. I probably shop Target weekly through the app. The app is very easy to use. You can store your gift cards on it as well. I have the free Target Debit Card so I never pay for shipping! Never! If I order a bag of Oreos or a case of paper towels; no shipping fees! AND I save an EXTRA 5% off every purchase with my debit card. Plus the shipping is FAST. I normally get my order way before the predicted time. They have subscription items that you can have delivered regularly and you get a discount on them too. The only part of this app I am not crazy about is: you need to be in store to use the “Cartwheel” feature. It would be nice if you are placing the order online/app you can get 1/2 of the Cartwheel deal? I am unable to drive, so 85% of my Target shopping is from home.
  • Very nice but could be even better....

    By eganmom
The new app is very nice, with Cartwheel right there. I love that I can make a shopping list and it tells me where the items are in the store and whether there is a cartwheel coupon to go with it. However a few suggestions to make it even better/easier: -make the shopping list editable so I can add to something already there or move them around -when browsing cartwheel, I'd love to be able to have the capability to not only add those items to cartwheel, but add to my shopping list from there. Seems that you can only add cartwheel items to the shopping list once you've added an item to your list, it shows you there's a cartwheel coupon, you click the little cart to see it, and there you can add to both cartwheel and the list, but then I have my generically listed item that I have to remove and the one added by cartwheel. So in essence, I want to be able to start building my shopping list from cartwheel browsing first. Aside from the above, it is overall a definite improvement and much easier to use. I love the wallet, as well!!!!
  • Recent Update = UX Nightmare

    By Modern_iphoneographer
Like many others, I was a long time user of the stand-alone Cartwheel app, which I considered to have a superior UX and feature set over the brand’s flagship app — this is also why, I regrettably began using this app when it replaced the stand-alone Cartwheel app several months ago. With that said, I’ve handled that this app is focused more on online than in-store shopping, I’ve dealt with the fact that it’s UX pales in comparison to the original and tasks that once took 1-2 taps now take 3-4(or more), and I even looked past several weeks of sign-in issues during the transition period. However, with the latest update, for some reason the development team decided to add sound effects to Cartwheel user actions. This would not have been a problem if the team had been conscientious enough to allow users to disable these sound effects, however after searching within the app and the phone settings I have been unable to find a quick and easy way to do this, which quite simply is bad UX. With the variety of other options available for providing feedback after a user performs an action, I see no excuse for the development team to not allow users to disable in-app sound effects.

  • Drive Up service!

    By SillyPhyllie
I learned about the Target “Drive Up” service while shopping in the store. After reading the sign explaining how it worked, I thought it was time to give it a try! When I have my grandchildren in the car, it is so convenient not to have to drag three little ones in for a few items. The longest I have waited in a parking space? 49 seconds! The last time I saw the young man walking out with my purchase in hand as I was pulling in the parking space. Fast, convenient, pleasant service. Thank you Target!
  • Best place to buy

    By LEWT123
By far with Red Card, Best place to buy! Good prices, extra 5% off and free shipping on any amount!
  • Keep me logged in doesn’t work

    By logging in again
I have to log in every time I use the app, even when I have the keep me logged in checked. This is so annoying, it’s like the developers have no idea how to get this to work.
  • Poor merge with Cartwheel

    By LilacBloom
I miss the Cartwheel app! This app does allow me to save Cartwheel offers but then I can never view them after. So if I want to know what cart wheel offers I have at the ready, I have to go back to the entire list of ALL Cartwheel offers, and search for the ones with the green checkmark next to none. Otherwise, the app seems to work reasonably well. I like that it will navigate me with in the store when I’m searching for something in particular. I like that I can shop from home using it. But the Cartwheel if she was just such a major one, it forces me to give only three stars.
  • Last Minute Halloween Costume

    By na2isnana
Better price than Amazon! Convenience in ordering process! Free expedited delivery for in-store pickup & I'll be warm for Halloween! Winning!
  • Hasn’t worked for weeks

    By bhe221
Despite updating the app and contacting customer service repeatedly, I’ve been having issues with this app. In particular, I can’t place anything in the shopping cart. I add to cart and it disappears. I’d like to utilize the DriveUp feature as I did before because it is convenient, but this app is nothing but problems.

    I LOVE everything about Target!!
  • Love it, but default payment method would be nice

    By Petite Apple
To check out in the store and use the payment method in the Wallet - I always just gift cards - you have to go into edit mode and tap the gift card in the Wallet. It’s not easy to remember that flow when I am in the brick and mortar Target haze. If you could add a persistent default payment method selection in the Wallet, that would help. In reading others’ reviews, it seems that they’d like the option to have “none” be a valid option on Wallet payment method default rules, so that their Red Card will be unavailable to other users if the logged-in user un-selects the card in the Wallet.
