If you want to install and use the Facebook app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Facebook in the search bar and press Search. Click on Facebook application icon. A window of Facebook on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Get it together fb!

This app gets worse with every update! Every time I get a notification, I click on the notification to open it and.... nothing. Just the wheel of death! On top of the many other ongoing issues. I would like to see my friends posts, like alllll of them. If I didn’t want to see them I would unfollow or just unfriend them completely. Same with business posts I follow them because I want to see their posts. I do not want to see the same old ads over & over. I would love it if the sort by “most recent” feature actually worked! I want to see the most recent posts first and then go back chronologically from there. NOT: 1 hr ago, 5 minutes ago, just now, 3 days ago, 2 hrs ago, last week, etc that we are getting now! I don’t need to see something over and over again every time someone new comments on it, if I have not commented or followed the post obviously I have moved on. Also I would like to choose what I get notified about. I know we can choose some things but not everything, ie. I do not want to be notified every time someone goes “live” or adds to their story! I love the idea of fb but you have users telling you all the improvements we want and we just get more things we didn’t ask for and half the time they don’t even work correctly.

Following the Cambridge Analytica fiasco I considered deleting my account, but decided against it as I use it too much for business. However, that decision was made for me after and my account of >10 years disappeared overnight. My account was hacked, some sort of rule violation occurred, and my account was subsequently disabled. At this point in my story I’m inconvenienced and a bit frustrated, but understanding of Facebook’s policies. As I jump through the requisite hoops to restore my account (verifying my name, contact info, identify, submitting evidence of a hack, and explaining my experience) I see for the first time the true nature of this company. I simply receive a boilerplate email saying my request to restore my account has been denied. There is no way to communicate with a human being, no phone number, no email, no chat support. For a company that prides itself on fostering an environment for open and reasonable communication their silence is deafening and the irony is ripe. Doing the right and decent thing appears to be too much to ask of Facebook. As it is now abundantly clear to me that Facebook’s actions reflect beliefs and values in automated decision making and blanket judgements by an isolated and powerful entity rather than transparency, care for their users/community members, and any sort of channel to truly interact and serve the people who they are obligated to.
  • Glitch Fixes Needed

    By jlccourt
Developers need to fix two things: the first is releasing all new status background options to ALL users. I see other users get new background options on a regular basis, and yet, I have had the same 14 options for a long time now. The second thing developers need to fix is the perpetual number 1 on the badge app icon and within the app itself, even if there are no unread notifications. The app’s description in the App Store is that “To make our app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store regularly” and that “Every update to our Facebook app includes improvements for speed and reliability. As new features become available, we’ll highlight those for you in the app.” We’ll, “new features” as of late haven’t been made available to me, and the only “reliability” I’ve encountered lately is the permanent number 1 on my notifications. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both my phone and tablet to no avail. The problems seem to be account-related as the issues affect my account when I use my laptop, where I don’t use an app. I’ve reported both the lack of status background options for my account as well as the notifications glitch. I’m not all that confident that developers will fix the problems. 🙁

Honestly Facebook has gone down the tubes within the past year or two. The fact that I have so many friends from high school and college and grade school, work ect, but only see about 8 of the same people is awful. The next thing is the fact it’s not only required to have the fb messenger app downloaded but updated as well. It won’t even allow safari to use it in the browser is so obnoxious. Then the fact that group will have so many members posting but yet the most recent of the ones are not immediately available. Even when the notification is clicked it shows posts from hours if not days ago. Appalling. It’s just so unorganized. So really the only way to view what actually notified you is to turn into the FBI agent you used to be when fb was still fresh top dog when MySpace became obsolete just to find the comment your friend replied to on a video in a group you guys are in. And of course last but not least of the downfalls is a video 45 seconds long gets interrupted mid sentence by a totally irrelevant ad or by something that was mentioned in a real life conversation which I just think is totally creepy. Sorry for all the rambling and riñón sentences but I’m just livid that apps force updates and crap when they’re crap and and making money from ads but then turn into their crappiest versions of themselves.

  • Not happy with the new update

    By Metsfan12345678
Very annoyed that when I select a video to watch on my news feed it takes me to the Facebook watch section. Then to go back I have to select my news feed, can’t just swipe back like I used to be able to. I understand you want to constantly “improve” your app. But the constant changes are becoming very annoying.

    Keeps crashing
  • Muslims

    By FoMoCo1
My fourth 30 day ban this year. When Muslims kill hundreds of people in church, on Easter, the comment “ Going to have to kill a lot more Muslims” is perfectly true and acceptable but you snowflake liberal Democrats that hate America would really rather Muslims kill good people while you hide the fact that Muslims openly practice pedophilia, slavery, and a host of other inhumane activities.
  • This app causes my democracy to keep crashing; Incompatible with freedom

    By DouglasxTaylor
This app works well on my mobile device, but unfortunately it is incompatible with my rekindled desire for freedom, truth, and privacy. No company and no product should become so indispensable that it requires a complete change of lifestyle when you give it up for a better quality of life. After over 12 years of frequent use, I am deeply disappointed with the direction that facebook has gone, and I will never use another product from this company again. Shame on you, Facebook.
  • FB would get 4.33 stars/ AutomaticUpdates brings it down to, like, a 2.8 and here's why-

I use FB more than any other social network, and I want to be able to use its most current version. Unfortunately, for FB TO Update on my phone, I have to be somewhere OTHER than my home w/ a stronger WiFi connect!!!!! Plz!!! NO MORE AUTOMATIC FB UPDATES!
