If you want to install and use the Facebook app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Facebook for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Facebook for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Facebook in the search bar and press Search. Click on Facebook application icon. A window of Facebook on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Facebook icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Facebook for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Facebook for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Notifications

I’ve already contacted FB 3 times over this and I’ve always loved and used them but now I’m getting frustrated. My notifications aren’t working and haven’t been for at least a month or more. They don’t load but 5-6 a time and than when I try to scroll down the see the rest of them it goes back to the first same few or it makes them disappear completely. I am getting really irritated and I’m missing notifications unless I’m using the app when it comes up. I can’t even try to access my account on a computer because of how many times I have had to delete the app and reset my password trying to do everything to try and fix it. And here I am again. I literally don’t know how many times I can contact you or put a review up about this I’ve had the same issue for a couple months now. My newsfeed is not working and hasn’t been. It only loads the first 5-6 notifications and when I try to scroll down it goes back up the the same ones and I don’t know what I am missing. Not even sure how to screen shot this or take a picture. But even after 2-3 updates it is STILL doing it and don’t tell me to update it or delete it I’ve tried deleting it and installing again and NOTHING changes. I just want my notifications to work. The only time they do work is if I’m on FB and the notification comes up at the top of my screen. I’ve yet to see how it only happens to me. No one else seems to be having this issue. What else can I do? And will I ever get a response?
  • Facebook is the best I don’t care what haters say about data. It still rules.

Facebook has never violated my rights or privacy. Just because the lazier people out there don’t read their terms of use or conditions and associated privacy policies doesn’t mean they didn’t tell you. You just didn’t take the time to read it. How could they(Facebook) know that mobile would explode the way it did and change the world. It almost happened overnight. No one could’ve predicted all the ways and the speed of its evolution. Yet, they still connect all your games and give you a easier option to connect to just about anything and a way to keep in touch with people who would have disappeared from your life forever. If anything in the least they keep that information for the future for you. Also, for future generations to look back on. That makes me happy I wish I could see all of my ancestors and get to know who they really were. Overall, my pc Facebook has been super slow and needs a little tune up time to time. I think Facebook is still the best app and website out there. Their team cares about everyone of us users. Stop putting blame onto those that help the world be a better more connected place. Thank you FB for everything. Your app and website changed my life and everyone else’s too for the better.
  • Feature photos missing etc

I deleted all my feature photos to start them over where I wanted to put them and now the option is gone I really liked that and now I can’t use it. I don’t want to post a feature album that posts to my friends news feed! I want to change things on my profile with out the world knowing it! There should be a option if I want to change my profile picture or post a picture in a album to not post it in the newsfeed! The fosnapchat slide mode has got to go! It dosent work it freezes when you accidentally slide left. AND WHAT EVERY OTHER FACEBOOK USER HAS SAID AND BEGGED FOR SHOW EVERY SINGLE PERSONS POST IN ORDER! Or give us the setting to make our own set that way!!! I shouldn’t have to click “see in order” every time! I don’t want the forecast for the day from 3 days ago! Or Kroger’s 2 day weekend sale on Monday or the band I really wanted to see at a local bar playing on Saturday on Sunday! If there are certain people I want to see first like my kids and best friends I’ll set them to that! I hate having people come into work and say “did you see the picture I posted of my grandkid? no sally sue I didn’t because we don’t talk much on Facebook so Facebook chose not to show it to me!!!!!!! I wish someone would come up with a new site that wasn’t about keeping up with the Jones’s. Facebook was #1 for a reason I use to use Instagram more but not as much now because they are doing the same thing and now Snapchat guess we all need good old steady twitter

Not so much of a review but dudes, my tech people. I need you to quit with the friend suggestion. Just because I live in an area doesn’t mean I necessarily know other people well enough to follow them on social media, it’s a boundary I will not cross and not ever to friend a stranger. I know people from a job yeah, but do I want to follow them on Facebook? No. Especially mutual people I might know that I’ve maybe had a good twenty minute awkward conversation with while their actual buddy online and in life left me to defend for myself at bars—not a fun time. I MIGHT know them but I don’t particularly like them enough to probably go say hi if I ever saw them in public, much less friend them on a social network. So. Tone it down. Like ten notches back. You explode my phone with them. It’s like Back To the Future when Marty blasts himself away on the large amp in Doc’s place (if you don’t get the reference then that’s okay). Not that I don’t mind it, it was a nice reminder when I still lived somewhere where I actually knew people but you base it probably of similar location, mutual friends and or this person knows that person so I just might know that person when I don’t. Literally, you gave me one where the man was in Italy, I know his aunt so why would I friend her nephew who has never been to the states? So tone it back. Please???

So I’ve had Facebook pretty much since Zuckerberg launched it to the world. My account was recently disabled and I have yet to be told why, they just disabled it. I rarely ever post anything on Facebook or comment on things so I can’t think of why my account would have been disabled. Needless to say, I’m done with it. As soon as I am able to get my pictures off of there (they have a neat feature when your account is disabled that they actually download all of your content and send it to you) I’m done. Never coming back to it. I’ve never posted anything horrendous enough to warrant disabling my account. What I’m thinking happened was I called out some hackers using my girlfriends dads account to try and get me to call a fake number to take part of a scam and I called them out on it. Facebook is crap.

  • Frustrated with Marketplace

All I did was update my Facebook app and now marketplace and my buy and sell groups are blocked. I have appealed numerous times and gotten numerous generic computer response messages from Facebook saying my access is restored but it hasn’t been restored. This has been going on for about 3 months now. Anyone else had this problem and gotten it corrected?

Unbelievable that the great company still can’t solve the problem which prevent pressing see more for that long text comments. For many months we still not able to read a ton of comments because that silly error. A lot of updates passed and none solve it

Don’t install this on your phone. Use safari or something if you honestly need Facebook. I’ve been without Facebook ever since they lied to us and broke their contract to us by allowing third parties to get our information. They are using our data, personal data, for profit. No thank you. Use iMessage or the Phone app to see how your loved ones are doing.

I’ve hardly been able to even use the app the past few days on my iOS devices. Feed won’t load beyond a post or two if I’m lucky, it won’t refresh, then it crashes and kicks me out after a few minutes. The app has become basically useless. I used the app frequently to shop and check into my hobby-related groups and consequently I’ve missed a lot. Fix this! Update 7-1-18: Here I am, an update or two later and it’s WORSE! Didn’t think that was possible but now I get kicked out/app crashes within seconds instead of minutes. Really? Facebook? In this day and age with all your resources, you can’t fix this? Update 7-9-18: Another update and the app still constantly crashes and is still useless. We’re in *negative* star territory at this point👎 Update 7-20-18: Another update and so far, the app isn’t crashing within moments of opening. Cautiously optimistic. Update 8-21-18: I knew it was too good to be true. After a month of seamless operation...FINALLY!...the latest update seems to have returned the app to its prior crash-happy state and is useless again. Pathetic.
