If you want to install and use the United Airlines app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type United Airlines in the search bar and press Search. Click on United Airlines application icon. A window of United Airlines on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • First Class Experience is inconsistent.

    I fly Delta almost as much as I fly United and usually purchase a first class ticket. I find Delta’s consistency of quality and comfort to be much greater. I would say about 2/3rds of the time the first class cabin flight attendants are not as attentive during the boarding process with hanging the passengers coats as well as offering a drink. In addition the snack passes are usually limited to once or maybe twice. In contrast my Delta first class cabin experiences consistently leave me very satisfied. If I’m wearing a suit, my coat is offered to be hung as I’m sitting down. A drink is offered during the boarding process and there are more than enough snack passes. Needles to say I have never encountered a rude 1st class cabin attendant. That hasn’t been the case on my United flights near as consistently. The majority of my United business is travel west of the Mississippi and my Delta travel is mostly to all destinations east of the Mississippi. If Delta had directs to Houston from New Orleans, I would most likely choose Delta over United. I sincerely hope this helps as I will be a Platinum customer in 3 and 1/2 more segments(so about 2 weeks and would love to experience an increase in the consistency of my “first class” cabin experiences moving forward.     On my trip from Cleveland, Ohio to Denver, on Thursday Sept 27, there was a medical emergency of a passenger seated right in front of me. Being an ER Nurse I asked if they needed help and alerted the flight crew. Within seconds the crew sprung into their emergency action plan and brought Oxygen, their flight emergency medical kit, blood pressure kit, juice and blankets and a glucometer. They were professional, well prepared and very compassionate to the man’s family. They were in constant conversation with the pilot, air control and ground paramedics. And were updating these personal with any change in condition of the passenger. Anything I asked for to assist the ill passenger, they jumped to get. Another medical professional assisted with the passengers care. This was a medical emergency that United Airlines President should be notified that the airline crew did an outstanding job caring for the ill passenger, care givers and other passengers. He should be very proud! Excellent service Julie, (I believe the head stewardess’s name) and all crew members. The passenger stabilized and we were able to continue on to Denver. We had the passenger under continued observation until the paramedics came on board to relieve us. Great job United Airlines Crew!
  • Worst airline app ever

    Have tried to add reservation multiple times ... keeps disappearing. On first opportunity I said “don’t add to travel wallet” - as it’s my first time using the app and I had no idea what the travel while was. I thought they might be referring to Apple wallet, which I’ve had bad experience with in the past, and so do not use for flight information. Ever since then, no matter what I do, turn travel wallet saving on off etc., whenever I add that reservation, it appears for short time on home screen then disappears. If an app can’t manage my reservations - no other features really matter. Recommend that they study behavior of Alaska Airlines app - that is a really really good airline app!! Also adding more u-ex designers who have empathy for “the common person” and can conduct usability research would go a long way. Next I clicked on the “support” link in the App Store - so I could report this bug so they could fix it ... and I was taken to a marketing page telling me about the app’s features ... a non mobile optimized page ... hard to read on my phone :-) ... with no place to report a bug. I’m sure United does not mean to convey the message that their marketing materials are a higher priority than receiving customer feedback about bugs ... but the current approach is in danger of customers receiving that message ...

    Tried using the in flight entertainment on my IPhone on two separate trips to no avail. I’m an IT Engineer with a PhD in computer science so I’d like to think I know a few things about making stuff work however I tried almost the entire flight to make the movies play. I finally asked the flight attendants what the secret was and neither of them knew. One checked the system to make sure it was on and then came back to tell me that someone in first class had it working on their iPad. Well congratulations to them up in first class! Maybe that’s the secret us regular passengers back in coach would like to be entertained as well. I travel weekly for my job and all my apps and devices are all fully updated so I’m thinking this is just a crappy app/system. The trailers play without issue just to tease you about the fantastic movie you are about to watch but then like a kid who’s parent tells them “no you can’t have that ice cream” all your hopes and dreams are shattered into a million pieces. My recommendation for the best results with this app: Delete it and fly on American instead where the planes are newer and their stuff works as it should, Otherwise the only entertainment you are going to get is spending your whole flight trying to get this app to load your movie.

    Tried to stream a movie and multiple TV shows on multiple devices and every 2-3 minutes it would pause for 1-2 minutes. Please fix! This was happens on united express flights.

    First class is a joke. No welcome drink. No food, only lame snacks like chips and cookies. No TV. Over two hour delay both ways. Will make great efforts to avoid flying in United again.

    Ridiculous. Unable to check in unless you check in a bag. Then it’s non-refundable even though you aren’t even taking a carry-on or checking in a bag. Spent $30 dlls and are non-refundable. Disappointed and not a satisfied customer.

  • Gotta fix the passport scanning tool

    Does not work...took me 40 minutes trying various angles, exactly following directions, holding the camera steadily with no glare and still the app would not scan my passport. Then once I finally succeeded, uploaded and agreed to save passport, I went to check seating and somehow bumped myself of the entire check-in process. Had to start all over, system had not saved my passport. There are better tools available, software is subpar.
