How to download and install Pinterest on your PC and Mac

4.5 Rating: 4.5 - 3,593,104 votes

If you want to install and use the Pinterest app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Pinterest for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Andriod emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Pinterest for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Pinterest in the search bar and press Search. Click on Pinterest application icon. A window of Pinterest on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Andriod device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Pinterest icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Pinterest for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Pinterest for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get here .

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

The app constantly goes black and then takes me to the home screen. I can never find the pins I was looking at or commenting on. Another thing is the notifications of when my pins are saved or my comments are liked or replied to; I’ll click on the notification and it won’t take me there and then it won’t show up in my notifications.

Since the last update, the app has been very pixelated.

  • newest updates..

i absolutely hate the newest update. for instance when you go to swipe out of a post and it slides to the right and then goes back to the page with all the posts. that might actually be the death of me. and another thing, when you hold down a post in the your saved stuff [like in your boards] and the 3 options come up at the bottom, that’s super annoying and kind of looks like an eye sore. i wish it would go back to the way it was before [like when you hold down a post on the home page and the little options come up in the bubble thing, i want that back]. other than these extremely annoying things [at least in my opinion], don’t interfere with the overall performance of the app and the app works pretty well otherwise.

  • Good App But A Really Annoying Issue

    By SarahCat1015Reader
So I have a board basically dedicated to art help, so I have a lot of sub categories in it. However, as with most art, a lot of pins fit into multiple sub categories in the board. It’s no big deal, I’ll just save it to both, but it won’t??? Like I’ll save it to the first board, no problem, then I’ll go to save it to the next one and it says it saved... but it doesn’t? I go back and it didn’t save. I have to sit there and spam save to that sub category ( a pain in itself ) over and over again until it lists it and actually saves there. This needs to be patched or fixed. It’s already wasted a good 10 min of my life sifting through my almost 1K pin board to try organizing it.

I don’t know what you’ve done to this site but it has become a chore to access and open any site of interest. What used to be easy and enjoyable to search is now tedious and time consuming with an email address and password necessary before being able to open and read any site. Go back to easy access and the way this site used to be...Thank you. Maureen Stegle
