Rename for Pc

I get a lot of files from customers that need to be renamed to work wtih. I used a renaming app a long time ago that does similar things to this app. Eventually, it stopped working because it became outdated. I have tried to use the automator and had some success, but I never want to this app things the same way twice it seems. I wanted a dedicated program to handle it. I tried the free ones in the app store first. They are free for a reason. this app is exactly what I wanted. The price is fantastic. It will save me lots of time. The options it has are much more robust than my old program. You can do several renaming changes at once like numbering, removing characters, adding characters. My old program would only let you do one thing as a time and then you'd have to start over again. You can preview your changes and after you commit to them, you can keep changing without leaving the program. You can drag and drop files. You can choose to see all your files in the program and select a few to this app out of this list. Honestly, I can't think of anything I would want this puppy to do that it wouldn't. Time is money and this one definitely works to save me time. Love it! So happy to have found it.

It promises to be very helpful, has all kinda of tools I want to use, yet it constantly crashes. 1 our of every 3 times I try to use it over the last 4 months it crashes. I was excited to see an update, thinking perhaps it would fix the problem, but no, now an annoying warning box pops up every time you use it saying "In order to continue you must click the "confirm" button to allow this app access to the folder" The update made it so you can't use the application without this warning poping up every single time! And now, after updating it fails every time. I am baffled as to what the issue is, but no matter what file I put in there, or what file-type it pops up an error message saying it couldn't process the files. It's not that it has a few bugs, it just doesn't work. I've emailed the developer twice. No response. Don't buy this.

The main thing that drew me to this app was the price. It seemed to offer as many features as the others at a fraction of the price. I needed to this app several thousand video files and include their date created within the name. this app let me do that and gave me an infinite way of customizing them. However, the BEST part about this app was the customer service! I found a minor bug and e-mailed the author about it. He e-mailed me back a few hours later and asked for more details, I gave him the details, he found and fixed the bug, and then he submitted it back to the app store, all in one day! I've used name mangler and a few of ther others and they work well, but this one is $2.99 and works just as well, so it's a no brainer.

I've tried about 20 times to use this app. I can sometimes get it to work but it will not work with every file I drag into the app. I most often get a NilObjectException error and the app shuts down. Very unstable. The files files this app just fine in two other apps I have. I love the look of this app and the other apps don't do everything I need them too so I hope this issue gets resolved.
