  • Not terrible, but not great

    By Dynamite Furball (Pcmac user)

I can say it’s fun and easy to get lost in, as I made it through 80-ish levels in about 2 hours, but that’s where the magic ends. This isn’t a game I expected to see abbreviations in (app=application among others. They aren’t terribly common, that’s just the most recent one). Around puzzle 90, the first word I made, and was shocked to see accepted, was “skeet”. As far as I knew, this was just slang and I deleted the game. Skeet shooting, however, is actually a sport. Unlike most people, I didn’t even look at the boosters, aids, and ad free purchases I could make as I don’t bother until I’m well and truly stuck. The plus is, like others have said, ads go quickly and are usually skipable in about 5 seconds. Coins are fairly easy to earn and usually you can make dumb match ups and random ones that you didn’t realize were words will be accepted even if they don’t go on the board, and earn you more coins. Plurals and singulars of words you’ve already made, if they can be made, count this way too if there isn’t a spot on the board for them. There is no downside to randomly matching x amount of letters and being wrong, other than a mild amount of frustration, a little time potentially wasted, and maybe using a hint or power up if you’re really that stuck. Overall it’s a good game, there are just moments where it feels unprofessional and I find them to be jarring.
  • Loving this app!!

    By Lynn Simon2 (Pcmac user)

As you increase the levels of play, the more difficult it gets to finding the right word within the jumble of five letters. I absolutely love this app because it keeps your brain focused and sharp, and as you continue playing the game in regards to the game’s difficulty, the easier it is to apply this concept in real life situations. Four instance, if you are faced with a difficult decision or not being able to find a solution when you’re a member of a team made up of several other people, playing this game actually allows you to see a solution whereas, previously, you would not have recognized such a solution or several solutions. As well as, t applying this same logic to other situations in your own life I do have one criticism, it’s not specifically about the game, but about the number of people who complain about the ads that are constantly running. Don’t these people realize that those ads allow Want to play this game and download the app both for free! In the early side of the game, I failed to see how the coins that are earned during play benefit you with in the game. It would also be nice to have the different types of hence defined and/or described.
  • Very fun, but one thing I want to give advice about...

    By Pikachublue21 (Pcmac user)

So far, this was the best word game I ever played. You can make words to complete puzzles, get coins, or just fiddle around with the letters until you make some words. You can also use the video on the Earn Free Coins section to get 25 coins per vid if u get stuck, but there's one thing I want to advice about.....whatever you do, DO NOT use the surveys to get free coins. When I checked it out I found out that whoever runs this survey thing is really just trying to get a hold of your personal information. Even the 15 question survey is trying to get personal info from people. That's why I did not even complete the 15 question survey and I'm glad I did not summit it. If you want to get free coins, I would recommend you just do the videos for coins and not mess with the offers or the surveys. I don't know what company runs this game but they might have someone like hackers running this survey thing so don't use the survey thing whatever you do or they may get your personal information. Otherwise, this is a really great game.
  • Flawed but addicting

    By Aslo White (Pcmac user)

I admit that I’ve become obsessed with this game despite its flaws. It’s a great way to spend some mindless time. It would be so much better if it had a better and expanded vocabulary. As it is, it doesn’t accept many perfectly legitimate words. One of them is “aqua,” which is particularly ironic given that one of the levels is called “AQUA.” Other non-starters are ware, garret, and fest, along with many more that I could name. The developers should consult a Scrabble dictionary — or any dictionary, for that matter. It would make for a MUCH better game if it just used Scrabble-approved words minus two-letter words. At least then there would be some rationale for why words are or are not accepted. The other thing that detracts from the game is the fact that levels start to repeat—the same combinations of letters show up multiple times. But hey, for a game with hundreds of levels, I guess that’s to be expected. There are a lot of annoying pop ups asking you for in-app purchases, although these are not necessary to keep playing. One of them — the “piggy bank” — purports to be a reward but is actually nothing more than another opportunity to buy stuff. Despite all this, it’s a relaxing, not-too-challenging time waster that can provide a pleasant break if you’re into word games.
