Software Features and Description

1. - use your USB-attached webcam or phone camera (EpocCam) to quickly scan QR codes into your computer.

2. iPhone as a camera on macOS Monterey/Catalina/Mojave requires 3rd party iOS app such as EpocCam.

3. - iPhone as a camera requires macOS 13 Ventura, iOS 16, and iCloud.

4. Phone camera significantly improves scanning ability.

5. - use the button at the bottom of the screen to switch to the iSight camera.

6. - iSight camera has no autofocus feature.

7. Works with iPhone & webcams (EpocCam...) and it natively runs on the new M1 processors.

8. It is necessary to place the QR code at the correct distance so it appears sharp.

9. - always ensure that your room is bright to improve scanning results.

10. Capture QR codes like you would do on a phone.

11. Use additional light sources in semi-dark / poorly lit rooms.

Install QR Capture app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "QR Capture"
The search will reveal the QR Capture app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once QR Capture is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including QR Capture.
Now enjoy QR Capture on PC.

Works well for reading the app codes only. A bit slow when processing/converting larger content files from private sources. Works well for social media content. I rated it low because the menu bar is underdeveloped, and doesn’t allow for creating the app codes.
