Can we go back ate Archiver 2?

I was very pleased with the app and the app 2, but this app under MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) doesn’t work. No matter what files I feed this app it attempts to open them. It simply will not archive anything regardless of the settings. Hopefully this will be fixed soon but in the meantime it is unsuseable The issue has been corrected and this app has been restored to my good graces. It supports a wide variety of archive formats including my personal favorite RAR.
Wont even open

Have tried for the last 20 min to get this app open and it wont work. Reinstalling does nothing. Please fix this bug!!!!
Loved v2. v3…not so much.

Since updating to v3, I am unable to create archives at all. I get an error indicating that it is trying to “open” the file instead of compressing it. Been hoping for an update to fix this but nothing yet. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) Intel Core i7 32 GB RAM macOS Sierra v10.12.6
