Well put together

Just enough features to get thoughts out of your head and on the screen without being bothered or distracted by all the "buttons".

Exactly what I was looking for
By CasualGamerHere (Pcmac user)
I wanted an app that gave me a blank white page for writing. this app provides this capability perfectly. When you go full screen, there’s nothing on the screen to distract you as you put words on the page.
It does feel like you’re using a typewriter, but without all of the drawbacks of typewriters of old, like needing to use a special ribbon or correction fluid to wipe out typos. It even uses a typewriter-esque font.
If all you’re looking for is a blank piece of paper for you to type on, this is your application. If you are looking for a cheap general word processor, keep looking since this program doesn’t have — and doesn’t need — all of the features of Pages or Word.

A useless app if you write on Mac and iOS
By Homer217 (Pcmac user)
I admit to my own carelessness in making me regret my purchase. On the mac app store it doesn’t specifically say it has icloud support. But the same app on the ios app store trumpets icloud support. Apparently that support is only between iphone and iPad.
That’s very lame, and something I spent a couple bucks on the mac app and a couple more on the iphone app to learn. I didn’t want to spend the 30 bucks on iAwriter, and this looks really nice and is good for writing. But it lacks icloud support and lacks a dark mode (both are things that the ios version of this same app have).
I know there’s no getting my money back, but its sad they are still selling such a product and haven’t updated it.
They have a new “pro” version out, but at 5 bucks for the mac app and 5 bucks for the ios app I don’t think I want to take a chance of 10 more dollars that they’ll be deceptive about that too. Bummer, because I liked the mechanics and they look better than their competition.
Wish I could trust the pro app to be decent, but at this point I’ll probably cut my losses and go with iAWriter instead. Once I can spare the 30 bucks for that overproiced software.
Also, I can’t open .txt files. Pure waste of my money.

Great idea, execution is ok
By Mitttsh (Pcmac user)
Overall a nice small tool to write stuff and stay focused. But, for a minimalist app, it could have much more features :) The interface should stay minimal, and have great features behind. Fullscreen is one that’s really missing. I’d like to be able to change the font, and change the margins. Would like to put it full screen but have the text take only half the app. Also, the gear icon top right isn’t Retina-ready. Needs a more recent update.
