  • dates don't work quite right

    By Kenneth Prows (Pcmac user)

This is app is extremely simple. To create a log entry you add a short description, some optional tags, then click the this app button. So far, so good. There is one problem though. When you log an entry, it does not always log at the current time. The date seems to get "stuck", and new entries will keep getting added at the time of the previous entry. You actually have to go into the date field and enter the current time manually. It takes a long time to manually enter a time, and shouldn't be required. If there was a way to always log entries at the current time, this app would be perfect. However, the way the dates work now when you add an entry makes the app useless to me.
  • Doesn't share database

    By Chris-Bo (Pcmac user)

For a simple "what have I been up to" log, it's a very simple, streamlined interface. You can search, which is handy, and it automatically tags the comment with date and time. What's missing is the ability to use this on multiple computers. I haven't tried to see if I can sync the database file with iCloud, but if I could change the database location I could put it in my Dropbox, allowing me to utilize it from multiple computers (since I travel for work). I think either synchronizing somewhere or being able to modify the database location (so the user could handle synchronizing) should be the next feature added.
  • May 2018 on High Sierra - Works Perfectly

    By TMHahn (Pcmac user)

As of the date of this review, the last update to this app was in 2014. Four years ago. I took a chance on it since it appeared to do exactly what I needed it to do. I’m using macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 on a MacBook Pro 13 (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) and it works just fine. I haven’t had any issues with it crashing. I have been able to open and close the app without any loss of data. It looks like it can be backed up by exporting a CSV, but I don’t see any way to import it in the event data was lost. Still, it’s an amazing app.
  • Export isn't easy

    By ZapFatty (Pcmac user)

The only way I can export is using Print-> then print to pdf.. there is some way to get to the database but that isn't really obvious for me. If it were more intuitive I'd find this more useful. The help file doesn't tell me much.. it assumes I know how to get to SQLite databases. I don't.
