1. Koch Trainer is a morse code trainer that uses the Koch Method developed by the German psychologist Ludwig Koch in the 1930's.
2. The method basically states that you should learn morse code at the speed you expect to receive, by training your reflexes to respond to code sent at 20 WPM you'll learn the code much faster.

Install Koch Trainer app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:

- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Koch Trainer on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Koch Trainer"
- The search will reveal the Koch Trainer app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Koch Trainer is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Koch Trainer.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Koch Trainer,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Koch Trainer" » then Click "Install".
- Koch Trainer will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Nice app

A good solid app for learning or practicing CW.
As the previous review said there are a few tweaks that would make it even better.
The scratch pad is worlds with the standard iOS keyboard. You do not have time to toggle the keyboard for numbers and punctuation. All standard CW letters, punctuation, should be on one keyboard.

1 you can adjust to any speed you like
You can start at 5wpm or higher
2 you learn by sound of the letters
3 spacing arrangements. Space at 5 wpm but send the letters at 30 wpm
4 this is a serious tool- don’t challenge the order of the letters ,numbers etc
5 hear m - - k -.- associate sound with the letter that’s where speed comes in
6 you could start at 20 or 30 wpm!
I trained myself in 1976 when I became a ham operator. I studied the letters then the sound- wrong . It’s sound associate the letter or number or punctuation.
Do it in your head. Don’t write it down

Not sure it works

Not even sure if this is the app's fault, but lessons are poorly ordered. Why k and m, then k m r? I did fine on k and m at 20 wpm, but couldn't get past the 2 lesson at the same speed. Needs work, maybe custom lesson designs or choices because the current lessons don't work, push me too far ahead too soon.

Great tool for learning CW

The current version does everything I need it to do.
Uses the app method and Farnsworth timing as recommended by most CW mentors. Works as advertised. Scratch pad feature is helpful as well.
I'm a novice with CW and this app is Definitely helpful in building skill.
Could it be improved by adding more features? Sure. But it does the job well and it's priced right.
Great job by the Pignology team.
