What is G-SHOCK Connected?

The G-SHOCK Connected app is a basic application that allows users to connect and communicate with a Bluetooth v4.0 enabled CASIO watch. By pairing the watch with an iPhone, users can access a variety of Mobile Link functions that enhance the iPhone experience. The app also simplifies certain watch operations by allowing users to perform them on their phone screen. The app is compatible with iOS 14 or later and is recommended for use with specific CASIO watch models.

Software Features and Description

1. Even if an operating system has been confirmed as compatible, software updates or display specifications may prevent proper display and/or operation.

2. Pairing your watch with an iPhone enables use of a variety of different Mobile Link functions that greatly enhance the iPhone experience.

3. The G-SHOCK Connected app also simplifies certain watch operations by letting you perform them on your phone screen.

4. This is the basic application for connecting and communicating with a Bluetooth(R) v4.0 enabled CASIO watch.

5. Please refer to the FAQ link below to resolve problems such as being unable to connect or operate the watch.

6. This application uses location information to obtain accurate time.

Overall it’s a clean design and has a good idea. I love the watch, but have only been able to sync the watch and app together maybe 3 times because the app crashes and takes days to let you back in without force closing. Once it works it’s great. However, even with language set, the calendar still shows a different language and I haven no idea what that part of the app says but it looks interesting. Sent in a request multiple times and get the same response to call a number no one answers. Needs cloud backup and health kit accessibility.

I’ve had some bad experiences with this app but from the gpr-b1000 to a gba-800 and now the awesome Mudmaster gg-b100. The experience has been getting better and better! With the gg-b100, I’ve never had a Bluetooth connection problem. All the functions that were advertised work and work well. The interface is nice and sending settings back to the watch work. It syncs time, and altitude correction to the watch effortlessly. It doesn’t even show as power drain in iOS even though I’ve got it set to always use location. Overall, I think Casio has been improving this app and it keeps getting better. Keep in mind, I’ve changed watch models several times and it could be that improving hardware sensors as well. The gg- b100 for me is the perfect marriage of 3 watches I’ve had before- Rangeman, Mudmaster and the G Squad all mashed up together. It’s also this years release and they have had time to refine their connectivity tech. So I’m giving credit where credit is due.
GPR-B1000 Support On iPhone X

I have found the app generally works well but I have not been able to set location for tide and moon graph for my new Rangeman. I imagine this might be a problem with the app on iPhone X but not sure. I can type in a location and see on map, but there is no finalize selection button. The problem seems to be that because I don’t live near the ocean there is not an available set point. I zoomed out to see the Pacific Coast and found I could select a location and set there (although I think moon and tide should be just at set locations on the coast of an ocean...)
Horrible App!!!!

Not sure what is happening. I installed this after purchasing my GG-B100. It worked for the first afternoon but the next morning I went to check if my step count updated. No it didn’t. I tried to delete the watch profile and reconnect but it wouldn’t after several attempts I decided to delete the app and reinstall it! I have have an IPhone XS with the latest OS (currently 13.1.3) but it won’t uninstall from my Phone! I delete the app and confirm it. It shows that it is deleted. When I reboot the phone the app reappears. Only it says G shock and the icon is white. The app won’t open or do anything! I repeat the process and same result! I can’t get this damm app off of my phone!!! I do not recommend this app! Watch is great app is horrible!!!!
