  • Great customer service and a solid, easy to use interface

    By Kbonezodelicious (Pcmac user)

Edit: the creator rolled out a subscription requirement that I objected to (I wasn’t a huge fan of the way he rolled it out). Jake, the creator, answered my complaints directly and immediately, in a way that i really appreciated. Seems like the app is run by one guy who is really striving to do right by his customers. After he addressed my issues I couldn’t be happier, and I’m back to wholeheartedly recommending the app. It’s very intuitive, and provides just the right amount of functionality. I have been frustrated with how many useless features other workout logs have (honestly, I don’t need videos of what a bicep curl looks like- I just want to be able to log what I do at the gym), so having a stripped down but functional option has been great. The app is incredibly easy to use. No unnecessary bells and whistles, which is exactly what I was looking for. And Jake (the developer) is incredible. I had a few suggestions, so I emailed them through the feedback option on the app. He got back to me with tips and great feedback within 20 minutes. Literally the best customer service I've ever gotten from an app. I can't recommend this app enough.
  • Not worth an expensive subscription

    By thighranosaur (Pcmac user)

I just started using this app a few weeks ago and enjoyed the simplicity of the design. It's a step above a note taking app in that I could select which exercise I was doing and replicate sets with a single click. It was a little bare-bones and I wasn't quite sure it would work for what I need for long term data collection, but I wanted to give it a shot for a couple months to see. Then, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of working out, between one set and the next, I got hit with a paywall asking for a monthly subscription. Literally between one set and the next! No way to put of subscribing. No way to log my set. No way to see my previous set. No way to view any of my data. No way to export what I already put in. No warning this would happen. It would be one thing if this app had specified it had in-app purchases when I downloaded it, or if I had been notified this was going to happen, or if there had been a single initial fee, or even a reasonable monthly fee (like a dollar or two). But none of that was the case. Like I said, this app is just a step above a note taking app. It's not worth the monthly cost. On top of that, just on principle, I refuse to support an app that takes its user's data hostage.
  • Simple and Clean Design

    By mikemcg412 (Pcmac user)

If you are looking for an easy to use app to log your workouts, look no further. I’ve tried many of the workout tracking apps on the store and they are overly complicated with too many useless features while not being good enough in the features that matter. This app gives you the simplicity of paper and pen logging in a clean, quick interface. This app completely replaced my pen and paper and I now use this to log my lifts. It enables me to add my own exercises and name them whatever I want and provides an extremely simple and intuitive interface for adding the weight and repetitions for each set. There is no clutter and I am able to log each set within a matter of seconds. And that’s exactly what a logging app should be - no B.S. - just log my set and get back to work. Another feature I appreciate besides the logging is the progress tracker. For any of your exercises you can see a chart that displays your progress on that particular exercise in a clean, easy to understand format. I like looking back on some of my lifts (bench, deadlift, etc.) to see how much progress I made in a visual format. It motivates me even more to keep progressing. I recommend this app to anyone serious about logging and tracking each and every set. Five stars well deserved.
  • Wasn’t perfect when the data was it free and now you’re holding my data hostage

    By Shae Monster (Pcmac user)

As a oly weightlifter AND an IT professional, I’m incredibly angry about this transition to the subscription service without warning and without the option to export my data before the change. When the app was free, it wasn’t perfect but it did the job to help me track my practice lifts and my heavy set(s) for the day. But, I couldn’t mark if I was doing 3x5 or 5x3 or 1x5... but for free (or even $0.99) I could live with it. Now, without warning, you changed it to an expensive subscription service (I’m sorry but this isn’t worth $8/mo without serious development upgrades) without giving me the choice to pull my data out beforehand! That’s not how good development works - you let people know the change is coming and give them a small window to remove their data (in my case, 2 years worth) and then turn this subscription feature on. You are basically holding my data hostage (that is, until you figure out how to export it to me). This is poor development and TERRIBLE customer service.
