If you want to install and use the LumaFusion app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type LumaFusion in the search bar and press Search. Click on LumaFusion application icon. A window of LumaFusion on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone

  • Audio syncing issues, WD Passport support is unusable

    By UATW
I've used LumaFusion for about 5 months as my editing app of choice and have generally been ok with the intricacies, but while editing my latest video I found the straw that broke this camel's back (pun on). While overall things work well enough to get a decent edit done, when I went back to start adding music I found that every time I hit play the music starts from a different point in the song. As such it's impossible to edit to the beat when the beat changes every time, and from what I'm reading I'm not the only one who is experiencing this issue. Another different, non-deal breaker, yet still super annoying issue is the WD Passport support, or should I say lack thereof. While they advertise that you can edit directly from the drive and it'll only download the necessary footage, in practice the connection is so slow that its completely unuable. Not sure if this is an issue with the drive or LumaFusion. As such I've resorted back to just copying footage from the drive to a PNY lightning/USB flash drive then copying from there to my iPad. It's time consuming but it works and once the footage is on the iPad I can edit like normal without waiting for it to buffer. In the end I'm giving up on trying to travel light and still get edits done on the road and will be packing my laptop from now on so I can use a real video editor and save my sanity at the expense of my back. Bon Voyage.
  • Lost files

On an iPhone, I took 6 videos. I brought all of them into my first LumaFusion project. I started the project and moved two of them to the video timeline. The iPhone was too small a platform to work on. Then I downloaded the app to my iPad with older iOS. My iOS was outdated. So then I bought a new iPad, with iOS 11.2.6 and downloaded my data from the cloud. When I downloaded the app to the new iPad, the 2 videos that I had added to the original video timeline when the project was on my iPhone were still in my photo/video folder, but the other videos were no where to be found! They were not on my iPhone nor in the cloud. Believe me, I checked multiple times! I lost hours of video time. I read after that there is the ability to delete material on your account from LumaFusion, but I don’t know how I did. If they were deleted via the app there should be a huge warning explaining what’s happening. I don’t remember doing anything that would have deleted any videos. I hardly did anything, given I could hardly work the app on the iPhone’s small screen. Anyone else seen this behavior? I like the functionality, but at this point, I’ll only use it after I back up my data separately before dragging any files into LF.
  • Frustrated

    By Opoteat
While I have loved this app enough to purchase a 512gb iPad Pro along with this app to create our videos, I have been unable to use it reliably. 2 out of the last 4 weeks videos have failed to create the file when rendering. This week I spent 4 hours trying to figure out which of the many clips, effects or transitions in the 10 minute video could be causing the problem and finally gave up and went back to FCP on my MacBook. I wanted to be able to use this iPad and LumaFusion to create videos on the road and not have to carry the MacBook just to do videos. But, I can’t afford to roll the dice when creating videos as to whether they will actually render. For me, this issue has been happening since November of last year and the fact that it is still an issue concerns me. It is a great product with tons of great features. But reliability should be the top goal when creating an app. Even though the most of the features needed are in this app every time I create a video I find myself wondering if it will actually render. Can’t continue doing this. So my advice is if you use multiple cameras with different file formats you will probably experience issues. $20 should include reliability with the price.
  • Great app but 1 thing I need

    By YouCrazyPug
I love this App and use it all the time for editing simple videos I record with my iPhone 7 Red. It’s great for tweaking simple things like endings, or cutting parts out, etc. Also useful for more complicated videos when needed. I used pinnacle pro before and loved it and this app certainly improved upon it. The 4K support is awesome but if you have a long video can take time to load and everything will move much slower. A minor detail not applying to my needs very often. One of the stand outs among others is the incredible audio features. I won’t go into detail but it’s pretty extensive and feature full allowing you to adjust even the most minor audio details. In closing and to reference my title , a surprising feature that is lacking is a simple reverb preset. When looking at all of the audio presets offered, not having a reverb seems silly. People are more familiar with Reverb then most other audio terms and is the most useful and easily applied. Having more in depth presets like Bandpass Filter, N-Band EQ, etc is great but I mean come on dude where’s the Reverb. That is all.

  • Error uploading videos

    By jamie the shedder
This is getting really annoying. I’ve tried downloading my video to my camera roll multiple times and it said error uploading video with a time at error and I thought i fixed the problem then I tried again and it said there was another error at a different time and I’ve tried finding the problem and I can’t find anything wrong at all. I had the same problem in the past with my old iPad air 2 and I bought the new 2018 iPad pro thinking it would fix the problem but the first video I’ve edited on it already have error uploading problems. I’ve tried everything in the support site has said and nothing works so unless they update it and make it so it tells you what the actual problem is when the error uploading video message pops up I’m going to have to use a different app cause this is actually impossible. Love everything else about the app but this problem makes it that I can’t even get the video i just spent hours editing. Very unhappy.
  • Great so far.

    By AdaByron
Has a bit of a learning curve for a newbie, but so far so good.
  • I left Adobe Suite... Almost

I can’t wait and hope they make an update that is like after effects so I may use 3D camera and rigging. Pretty much, I hope they make it to where we can animate. Other than that I don’t even open primer anymore or hardly touch my MacBook. Btw I’m using the 2018 iPad aka the baby iPad Pro (hint hint). PLEASE LUMA TEAM MAKE UPDATES LIKE AFGER EFFECTS OR MAKE AN APP IN THAT LIKING.
  • Great tool

The perfect tool for editing videos for my YouTube channel on my iPad Pro.
  • Awesome

Great software thanking for making film editing easy
  • More transitions?

    By Antoni M
The app is really awesome and is very clean and easy to use. Although I love adding transition in my videos and would really like if there were more transition options available. It’s very limited and most of them are a bit similar. Thanks! (Also maybe try to add a way to crop out a section of a video, kind of like photoshop)
  • Update Loop

    By YumYum😍😍😍
I tried to update this app and when I refresh it will ask me again to update the app!!! Developers need to fix the update loop.
  • Great! But needs work

    By Chinky Chinese
This app is dope, lots of presets for color correcting and very capable of doing things iMovie can’t. However, there should be an option to fade audio in/out. It also surprisingly works with Osmo Pocket footage but still laggy as hell. If the developers could make it more capable of handling the osmo video then this app would be golden.
  • Do Not Get This App

    By Doc_Lars
You’ll be dismayed by the price, but that’s only one element of its selling point. Surely, this price tag is attached to a dependable editing software accompanied by helpful advice from a company that will provide straight answers and solutions? Right? No. You’ll begin to edit and things will go off without a hitch. Then, an “Upload Error” rears its ugly head, and even if you get past that... your audio seems out of sync. And you only have two twenty second videos with hardly any complicated effects or cuts. You’ll free up space. Still. “Upload Error.” You can’t find a solution anywhere, only frustrated people. And so now you’re unable to export your important projects. You have no way of getting them out of this app and past this “Upload Error” when you try to export. You will feel like you’ve been duped, and you will be if you drop twenty dollars on an app that provides no answers only a roadblock of problems.

LumaFusion Is the greatest app I own. I’m a mobile filmmaker and it’s simply wonderful. It’s inviting, intuitive and fun as heck. It’s the most professional editing tool you can use on your iPhone or iPad. Period.
