What is Thortspace? Thortspace is a 3D visual thinking app that helps in creative brainstorming, problem-solving, collaborative research, and education. It is a unique mind-mapping and concept-mapping software that structures maps around the surfaces of one or more spheres presented in 3D. Thortspace allows users to associate map-nodes called "thorts" in groups according to proximity and connect them by paths. It also supports multiple alternative arrangements of subsets of nodes and the concept of "Journeys" that allows a series of viewpoints of maps in the 3D space to be visited sequentially. Thortspace also has a rudimentary implementation of social networking and a newsfeed that allows users to track their own and others' contributions across collaborative spheres.
