Brilliant! A simple, reliable, robust, and very high quality utility.
By Eddie James & The Blue Memes (Pcmac user)
Have I mentioned yet that this utility is free?
When so many of the developers of these so-called display “dimmers” struggle with their myopic grasp of the problem set, Tanaka-san succeeds on every level! He has thoughtfully designed his utility with an eye toward giving his already clean user interface that little extra bit of subtle panache. Tanaka-san, your professionalism has exceeded my expectations as I am delighted with your added feature of a glowing cursor as the display(s) become more dim. That extra bit of thoughtfulness to aid the user in finding the “cursing blinker” is simply brilliant! Well done Tanaka-san! Well done indeed!
Oh yeah, <chuckle>, and it’s free!
p.s. Tanka-san you have a bright future in software development and I wish you all the best!

Fixes display control issues with Mac OS
By JohnnyPunk (Pcmac user)
This app saved me from staring into the maximum brightness that Apple created during the Catalina update. I could no longer control my LG monitor, (you know the one that Apple promoted/partnered on) and this enabled me to get control back. Phew!

Best one
By yentle the nimble (Pcmac user)
I tried a few similar apps. This is the best. I use an older iMac as a screen for my MacBook Pro, and this tones down the brightness. The other ones I tried were glitchy. This is not.

Fantastic App
By sm336 (Pcmac user)
Dimming and brightening an external display just like built-in one is something very basic but very essential. This app does a fantastic job of doing what is necessary with minimal clutter and very usable interface. Kudos to the developer! PS: Works great with Mojave.
