Software Features and Description
1. After choosing "Capture Screen..." in the Aristocrat menu bar, select an area of your screen (which can be done through a system-wide hotkey) and Aristocrat works its magic.
2. Aristocrat is simple utility that allows you to decode barcodes on your screen and read the text in images and scanned PDFs.
3. The results can then easily be copied to your pasteboard or shared from the Aristocrat menu.

Install Aristocrat app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Aristocrat on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Aristocrat"
- The search will reveal the Aristocrat app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Aristocrat is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Aristocrat.
- Now enjoy Aristocrat on PC.

Very useful, but the OCR needs work

This applicaton has helped a lot with recreating packaging text that has been outlined. It has some trouble with accents (understandable), but the main problem I have seen is that is very often will interpret a lowercase L as an uppercase i. This seems to happen most often with French text, with words like le, la, les. But it also did it in the middle of words.
One more thing - it very often interpreted a hyphen as an M-Dash.
Still worth having — it has saved me a lot of re-typing.

Nice idea, but still needs work

For those who've tried this and don’t see the app when it’s running, just look at the top of the screen for the A icon in the system bar. Click on it or use the hot-key combination to capture the screen an/or copy. It seems to do that fine. My main complaint is the Text OCR is very inaccurate; at least it was on the PDF document I was trying to capture. I like the idea of this app but it needs work on the OCR accuracy.

If for absolutely nothing else, it's good for copying website links from App Store descriptions because we still. can't. click. them. I'm sure it depends on the source resolution of the screenshot, like others, but it works great on my retina screen.
