1. Using the built in camera of an iPhone or iPad the user takes a picture of the object of interest, then traces over the image with up to five colors.
2. For larger areas it is suggested that an external wide angle lens would help to capture a wider area.
3. The results are saved to a csv file and may be uploaded using the File Sharing mode of iTunes.
4. The percentages of each color to the whole traced is then calculated by pressing the Area button.
5. Accuracy is a matter of skill at finger painting and the user's interpretation of what they are seeing.
