Download and install the iControlAV5 app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »

Good when it works

App used to work great with my Elite receiver and blue ray player but it's not reliable. Using a Ethernet connection on both with a gigabit switch LAN, this app performance has nothing to do with your ISP. At first I didn't even know where my Pioneer remote control was, now we can't do anything on the app. The app will not load - stuck on "connecting"
Has a lot of features like EQ etc that is not offered on others

I am not sure why the low star reviews for this, I used this for VSX 1021. It has been working for me for a very long time now in different versions of the app. I have a Sony receiver from Costco which is crap compared to this from Registration to usage. it is not even an actual remote app. it is called sideview i think. I also tried Denon & Marantz and compared to all of those Apps this is way better. If only the people complain can go check other reciever apps they will know how day and night difference between this and the competitors out there. I hope Pioneer keeps this app alive for the old recievers like mine. thank you!
HORRIBLE APP

This app is the worst. Trash. Just like all the other bad reviews, this app rarely works. I bought my SC-95 receiver last January(2016) and the first time I used this app it worked for a while. But then it just went downhill from there. My receiver is connected via ethernet and the app still cant find the receiver. It used to be that I could unplug the receiver's power cord and then the app would work. Now it doesnt even respond after that. I spoke to a representative via email that told me and I quote: "The app is a free app and is not guaranteed to work to perfection." Seriously??? What kind of a company markets their own app on their own website and then tells its customers it might not work properly??? Trash. Never buying another Pioneer/Onkyo again. Horrible app and horrible customer service.

I still use this app for my VSX1021 the app will intermittently be unable to connect to the receiver even though it will show the receiver and at its correct IP Adria’s in the app’s Settings -> Select product screen. When this happens I bring up the receivers’s network configuration screen and disable and re-enable the use DHCP setting. Once I do this the app reconnects. The older version of this app had almost all of its features accessible via the launch screen. The newer version introduced many separate “tabs” that are just extra clicks. All in all the app is pretty full f attired just plagued by connectivity issues.
