Install KCLS app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using KCLS on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "KCLS"
- The search will reveal the KCLS app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once KCLS is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including KCLS.
- Now enjoy KCLS on PC.

The Done and Cancel Button doesn’t work for the Refinements

Reproduce step - 1. Go to the search page to search any keyword;2. Click “Refine” button and get into the refinements page; 3. Select any option from “Availability” drop down widget; 4. Click “Done” or “Cancel” button, you will find that the button doesn’t work.

Performance is awful

The performance of this app is awful. For example touch commands seem to be asynchronous and the expected UI shows up much later after I’ve tried other commands. So when I tap to put a book on hold the hold confirmation shows up while I’m doing something else like a search and I no longer have a context as to which book it thinks it is trying to put a hold on. Or just wait for the spinner to spin as it seems to almost always be there. Fortunately the web page for this app works. Skip this app, use a browser.

Convoluted

Here's the work flow to find and download an audio book:
1. Open app
2. Sign in
3. Search for audio book
4. Click on the desired result
5. Get transferred to web browser and this app web page
6. Sign in again
7. Place a hold
When the book becomes available
1. Open app
2. Navigate 3 pages deep to find the available book
3. Click the book to start the download
4. Get transferred to web browser and this app web page
5. Sign in again
6. The page says "book not available". Ignore that
7. Choose download format
8. Now a button appears to start the download. Click it.
9. Get transferred to the overdrive app
10. Sign in again
11. Finally start the download.
You can do all of this, including signing in 3 times, without ever leaving the Overdrive app. So, I see no point in this library app at all. Just use Overdrive, or log into your account in the web browser.

Tricky refining results in search

I have loved this app for the last three years, but as of recently the “DONE” button you use to refine your results when searching isn’t working.
Still a good site, but no longer great.
I have emailed the website/app support twice with no response or change in the problem.
