Install Writedown! app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Writedown! on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Writedown!"
- The search will reveal the Writedown! app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Writedown! is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Writedown!.
- Now enjoy Writedown! on PC.

Buggy

A bit unstable, so save your work often. It also constantly nags me that the file on disk has changed and asks me if I want to reload it, even though the only thing that changed the file was me hitting save (it's like it just keeps checking if it changed since the file was opened, not if it changed since last save).

doesn't seem to work for 10.6.8

I was excited to find this app, since it seems to be one of the few markdown editors with live preview for 10.6. However, I cannot seem to get the app to function properly - I opened it immediately after downloading and nothing happened. No windows appeared, no instructions, no welcome screen, nothing. I tried to create a new document from the File menu, but again, nothing happened. I tried to open a new document with the same result. As a last resort, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, and still nothing. I eventually gave up because I found an editor that worked on the first try, and other people may not have the same experience I had with this, but please beware that this app! may not work for you. EDIT: I also wanted to mention that their support page is a github page, which isn't particularly helpful for people (like me) who aren't familiar with navigating that site.

I have been looking for a stable markdown editor for Mac. this app! is a great but simplistic live-updating markdown editor that is free. Keep up the great work!
It can also write and read my MD (markdown) files.

Not WYSIWYG

You have to code everything to generate the WYSIWYG layout. You can’t paste content into the WYSIWYG display. If you are looking for something like that, such as dreamweaver, you’re in the wrong place.
