Software Features and Description

1. Please note that Pause It uses the F5 - F9 function keys on your keyboard to control media playback.

2. Pause it is compatible with Pandora, Grooveshark, and YouTube.

3. In order for this to work correctly, you must remove any keyboard shortcuts assigned to those keys.

4. - Play/Pause music on Pandora, Grooveshark, and videos on YouTube with the F8 key.

5. - Move to the previous song/Restart a song with the F7 key (Note that you cannot use this option with Pandora).

6. It is only compatible with Safari and Chrome.

Install Pause It app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Pause It"
The search will reveal the Pause It app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Pause It is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Pause It.
Now enjoy Pause It on PC.

Works As Advertised

Great app. Simple interface. Does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. As other reviewers have noted — if it doesn’t work for you, try holding the “fn” key, then press F8. If you use this more than the built in « >| » keys, you can change that setting in the System Preferences > Keyboard > “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys.” Expected it to work with Safari. Impressed that it works with Google Chrome.

Works just as described! Some people may be having trouble with the keys not working. If this is the case, you just have to hold down the FN key when you press the media keys and it should work fine.
Doesn’t Work

The app does not respond to the the app/play buttons (they open iTunes, and have no keyboard shortcuts mapped in the settings that are visible to me). It does show me a giant the app/play icon in the middle of my screen when I do fn+F8 so it can at least see the command there; however, it does nothing to pandora in Chrome nor Safari. this app Support link goes to a “frozen” website (whatever that means).

In my limited, early experience of using the app with Pandora, it is buggy on Chrome, but works well with Safari.
