So Far so good!
By petehandsome345 (Pcmac user)
I’m posting this primarily in response to the reviews which say the app doesn’t open or it crashes. I experienced the same issue until I clicked on the “Sensor X” support link at the top of this page.
Once there, I clicked the “update” link and at that point, the app’s license was verified and started working as it should.
Since doing that, I have a little thermometer in my menu bar that shows temp updates every 2 seconds! (You can set the update interval in the preferences…..which now shows up when you click the icon in the menu bar!!).
I got this b/c my iMac has been shutting down unexpectedly and I *think* it is due to over heating (I have a 2010 iMac!)…..I’m hoping this app will confirm/deny my assumption. Will report back if things go south……or great! LOL!

Upgraded to 2.0
By St. Elmo (Pcmac user)
Great program! Monitors CPU temp (high, low, avg, etc.) and allows 2 levels of high temp alarm via text and/or audible alarm. Vers. 2.0 is updated for Mountain Lion and adds Fahrenheit degrees option. You must, however, update from the Aladdin site by making a request thru customer service. The good news is C.S. responded within minutes for me.

Perfect in it's simplicity
By SloMo456 (Pcmac user)
This is exactly the app I was looking for. I didn't need an app that monitors every conceivable system metric - just needed the temp. When cutting video, my Macbook Pro runs hot with the lid down when hooked up to an external monitor, which means I have to run a cooler fan underneath. This little app tells me when to turn it on. So far it works like a charm.

Quick response, upgrade coming soon
By MisterGreggy (Pcmac user)
Popular request was to include a fahrenheit reading, which they are including in their soon to be available upgrade.
