  • So simple and so perfect

    By AaronNOH (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using this app since 2012. I really don’t think I could use OS X as happily as I do without this program. It removes any potential of formatting issues between programs and it’s helped me clear up some formatting that “Clear Format” just didn’t clean for some reason in Office. Apple needs to buy this company and integrate this functionality. I love that the company keeps the program working with updates to OS X. I’ve never experienced any issues. I was really worried that it might break as some of my other favorite apps have (namely TotalFinder) due to the security features introduced in El Capitan.
  • Feature Request

    By Julietred (Pcmac user)

I really like that I can set a shortcut to use this app to strip formatting. That is so useful. My feature request is this: I want to be able to copy a file and then strip the file away and still have the file name in my clipboard. This is my workflow: 1) I copy and paste a file into an email. 2) I copy and paste the filename into the email right above the file and then add a comment about the file. — what I want is that instead of going back and copying the filename that I use the shortcut to strip the file away and still have the filename in my clipboard. Right now when I copy a file to my clipboard and then use your app to strip it nothing happens. Maybe it could be a feature that gets toggled on or off in the preferences?
  • Quick and Clean

    By ScudderB (Pcmac user)

Great little app to the app rid of formatting. You can highlight and copy and entire webpage, bits and pieces, or anything from any other application and create a cleaned-up text file. This helps me arrange notes and other information I want to keep found in various sources. You can choose to keep the formating and preserve, for example, URL links and if you need to remove the formatting, there is a quick way to do so on-the-fly. You can also choose to remove all formatting from anything you copy. Very useful!
  • Perfect for programmers or working in a shell

    By SoundCloudFanatic (Pcmac user)

For work I often need to copy and paste between applications or out of documents and paste into the shell, this app is a life saver and makes things so much easier. I have been using this app for over a year and usually just keep it set to auto strip formatting for everything and then it’s just set and forget. I have definitely recommended this to my coworkers.
