Install SearchInFiles app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SearchInFiles on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SearchInFiles"
The search will reveal the SearchInFiles app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SearchInFiles is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SearchInFiles.
Now enjoy SearchInFiles on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native SearchInFiles Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use SearchInFiles,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "SearchInFiles" » then Click "Install".
- SearchInFiles will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Does not work. Period

I tried two searches, one of a folder with a couple of dozen files, and when that didn[t work (the little lines kept chasing each other around and around and around and around…) I created a new folder with one Word file in it with two words in the file. This so-called app didn’t find either one of those strings. I just wasted $1.99.
waste of money for me

wasnt worth the effort to download it. i typed in one word to find a document about 10 minutes ago and its still spinning???? there is a free application called Easyfind that works.
It takes forever!
