First the things I like about this app - it is simple, really simple to set up. It simply streams video files to all enabled UPnP clients (xBox 360, PS3, etc.) It has almost no set up and doesn't try to meddle with the files you are streaming. The only issue with the software is, if you are looking for a media streamer wich can play any type of file, this isn't the one for you. This only streams the files to your player, if your player wont play the files – well too bad. Other media streamers (PS3 Media Server, Playback) will convert any file to an appropriate file format. This is a double edged sword however and actually why I like this app - transcoding means it is re-encoding the whole file on the fly. If you are talking 720 or 1080p content this can completely hijack your computer's processors. Because this app only shares these files and wont recode them, it will never try to re-encode. Great for nerds who like quality, bad for novices who just want to play a movie and don't know what their device will play.
  • This is the app you need if you have a Xbox One!

Since DLNA came to Xbox One i’ve been looking for options to stream my media to my xbox one, I’ve tried Sofaplay and it only worked half of the time and would only stream 1 video at a time. This program is percect and worked instantly & easy to setup plus, it alows you to stream multiple media outlets including external harddrives over your network and for use on the new Media player app on the Xbox One. Highly recomnded!
  • Very simple and gets the job done.

    By crios (Pcmac user)

The only thing this app does is stream video to UPnP clients. I'm using it to stream to a PS3. I add the video that I want to stream to a share box and then hit a play button. Then I go to my PS3, search for media server, find it, choose the video I had just added and then hit play. It worked perfectly. I would recommend also purchasing AnyVideo Converter (or similiar app) so that the videos you choose to share are compatible with the hardware you are sharing to.
  • Works just great!

It's simple just add a video to the list, download (Air AV) on your iDevice (It's free for now) and look for the server. As simple as 1 2 3 ! I don't understand why some people complaining. Thanks to developer for awesome Apps they made. Keep up the great job. Cheers
