  • Better than nothing

    By Michael Belisle (Pcmac user)

I use BibDesk, so it's nice to finally have some mechanism for reading the BibDesk file and syncing PDFs with the iPad. The first implementation is a bit clunky. It appears to only fully support article entry types, and is rigid in its interpretation, throwing away any fields that it doesn't recognize and filling in missing fields with defaults like "volume 0, number 0" (which results in unreadable citations for some reference types). BibDesk keywords weren't recognized with my file. It'd be nice to see the cite keys and view the full, unadulterated BibTex entry. The ads are a bit intrusive: they don't always seem to understand where they should be, like whether or not ads should overlap other ads, or whether or not the application is displaying a PDF or taking up the 90% of the screen to display a banner. I'm not opposed to the app being ad-supported, but if it uses more than one ad network they should at least play well with each other. Dropbox integration sounds promising, so I'll probably buy the upgrade once the overall experience is a bit more polished.
  • Works ok

    By Joshuaeasha (Pcmac user)

Seems to work ok, depending on what you need. Does seem to change everything into articles, but if all you want is to look up your BibTex keys when writing in latex , this will work fine.
  • Paid for Dropbox sync that won't work

    By Lalia400 (Pcmac user)

I paid for the upgrade to sync with dropbox, but no matter what I do it never syncs. It's always at 0% syncing. I can't believe I paid for this! I already sent a message to support but have not received a response.
  • Very BASIC

    By Foice (Pcmac user)

Using the bibtex file with a tex editor you can get nearly as much as with this app. sync is pain and not cheap. I wish I could "return" this app and the Dropbox support I paid. You want to look at other apps, trust me ...
