Does what I need without any trouble
By thepaultucker (Pcmac user)
this app has proven very helpful - especially while editing video or other demanding memory tasks. Even with 8GB of RAM in my 1 year old MacBook Pro, Final Cut Pro X starts eating through it pretty quickly. No more restarting or closing/reopening - just clean the memory and free it up after 30 seconds to a minute. Love it. I also love running it straight from the menu bar (hidden in the dock) with just the "Usage Chart" displaying - it's a clean and helpful interface. I haven't found the "Clean if free memory is below x" - I prefer to keep an eye on it and then clean the memory when I'm ready. Cleaning mid-render or at other times can cause instability in certain apps. That aside though, this has already proven to be a HUGE help!

It does the job well

I use 3 different brands of memory managers that essentially do the same thing. If you want really easy, basic and effective results, go no further. I can't mention the other brands but what this one does not tell you is what app might be secretly hogging ram even when it's running in the background, so if you want to dig deeper keep looking. I use This app first. If I am forced to defrag the memory a lot in one day, I switch to one that gives me everything that's running as a % of available ram. That can help if you have to ask iClean Memory to do its thing manually, which I have set to clean at the "depth" level, or midway between quick and developer, which I am not. It's a great app when I don't need to look further and I recommend it for anyone whose happy with set and forget!!

Works as advertised!
By Jeremy271 (Pcmac user)
I do a lot of engineering work on my Mckbook and utilize virtualization on top of the myriad of other applications I have open at any one time. This app has allowed me to keep memory comsuption completely under control. At this point I wont run my machine without it. The latest Mac OS's seem to have an issue releasing memory back to the system so I used to have to fall back on the purge command via terminal in order to continue working. Now I can monitor my memory utilization at a glance and with a click of the mouse I can reclaim all the memory space thats "stuck" in that inactive state but not released for use and continue working. This app is a lifesaver for anyone who really uses their Mac and doesnt want to have to reboot once a day (or more). The Mac OS should just come with this pre-installed.

By far the best Ive used
By gfann (Pcmac user)
Ive used Free Memory Pro and flush memory, then I tried this app. this app is by far the best of the three. the amount of memeory it frees up is typicaly more then 25% of my total memory. Freememory from I would say cleared up about 15% and it would take long before you had to clean it again. Flush memory was a bit better then that but still you had to flush very freaquently. But, icleanmemery cleans it and you are good to go for quit awhile. plus you have a total meter in the menu bar to gauge where you are at. Both the other apps also have a feature such as this. as far as speed goes this app is the quickest at the process cleaning too. of the three this is far superior.
