Install Speech app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Speech on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Speech"
The search will reveal the Speech app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Speech is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Speech.
Now enjoy Speech on PC.

This is perfect! Except 1 thing is missing

Please Please Please add the ability to correct pronounciations. It is so irritating to hear technical jargon mispronounced . I'd love to be able to add a custom list of pronounciations so it would say See Qwill Light instead of squier earl light. Also is there anyway to improve/change the color perhaps expand the highlighting to the entire line? or turn off/on the text highlighting. Excellent work!

An alright app. Instructions should be clearer. For instance, you CAN get it to playback from any point, but you have to click on a point in the text AS it is reading the file. It then jumps to where you have clicked. VERY clumsy and NOT "intuitive." Its intutiveness comes from the fact that it does very little more than the this app button in textedit. It says it can use voices from other publishers, although I have not been able to test that. The video is misleading in that it shows it speaking in French, but this is not a native capability of this app. If you paste French into the editor, it speaks it using English rules of pronunciation! It DOES allow you to make an audio file directly and it IS cheap, so its not useless, but not very polished.

In addition of Highlighting words you can click on a word tp start reading from this point on. You also can export it to an audio file, change speed and use Keyboard for Pause/Play.
