Software Features and Description

1. Port knocking is a method of externally opening ports on a firewall by generating a connection attempt on a set of prespecified closed ports.

2. Once a correct sequence of connection attempts is received, the firewall rules are dynamically modified to allow the host which sent the connection attempts to connect over specific port(s).

3. Using KnockOnD one can define destination host, delay between packets (in milliseconds) and port numbers to which packets are to be sent as a "sequence".

4. KnockOnD is a simple port knocking client compatible with knockd or any other port knocking server.

5. Once saved these sequences are easily accessible for "knocking".

6. It supports both UDP and TCP protocols, interpacket delays.

Install KnockOnD app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using KnockOnD on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "KnockOnD"
The search will reveal the KnockOnD app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once KnockOnD is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including KnockOnD.
Now enjoy KnockOnD on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native KnockOnD Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use KnockOnD,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "KnockOnD" » then Click "Install".
- KnockOnD will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

It does exactly what it says it does. For free. With no ads. I've got knockd setup on a linux box running SSH and VNC. Now I can access it from my iPhone with just that extra little bit of security.
