Install BOS:311 app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using BOS on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "BOS"
The search will reveal the BOS:311 app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once BOS is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including BOS.
Now enjoy BOS on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use BOS,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "BOS" » then Click "Install".
- BOS:311 will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Quick service multiple times

Some things take awhile from the city, but other things have gone very smoothly. The issue I just submitted - my Christmas tree not being picked up by recycling - was resolved within an hour. Impressive! Sure, some things requested take awhile, but multiple requests I’ve put in have been handled in what I feel is a timely manner. Thanks to the 311 crew for doing what they can to keep improving the city.
No ads of 311 in black areas of Boston

The app works when I report what needs to be fixed but I am disappointed in City Hall not putting up ads for the people of Boston to know about these app. Only reason I know or heard of this app was because I worked at city hall and knew devs that worked on but we Need more ads around town especially in the inner city like Mattapan, Dorchester and Roxbury so the people can report potholes, outages & etc. It’s crazy I’m remember seeing a ad in Brighton or Allston but not in the black communities where I have traveled. We need more awareness of this app so things can get fixed
Good app, poor response

Not sure why Boston has a 311 app. The service is useless! The city does not care about resident parking. We have multiple cars parked on our street during TD Garden events and the only response to reports we receive from 311 is “case closed” or “duplicate request” My favorite is when they respond 48 hours later and tell you “the area is clear” ya think? The illegal parkers left two days ago. I don’t think these people actually work. Needless to say I’ve deleted the app and just call the tow companies myself.
Great App

The App itself works well and is easy to use and I have not run into any software malfunctions. A lot of people use this App to report absolute nonsense and it is absolutely hilarious especially when BTD or etc responds there was no violation or a vehicle is in compliance. I think the App is great for reporting potholes and needle clean ups.
