Works perfectly
By r_ossc0 (Pcmac user)
I was reluctant to buy this at first, because of the amount of bad reviews. The fact that Bose seems unlikely to provide native support for an alarm function made me was frustrating enough to give it a go. The app worked as soon as I opened it - my Soundtouch 20 was listed instantly. No searching, no connecting, just right there in the list. I tested the alarm feature and again, it worked perfectly. And it worked to wake me up this morning. The only improvement I’d like to see is the ability to have the volume increase gradually on alarm wake-up, but that’s a minor thing - actually having it work as an alarm is huge.

Does what Bose should have provided!
By bbrener (Pcmac user)
For a $500 device Bose should be ashamed that they did not provide basic functions like sleep timer and alarm wake up. This app provides them effectively and they work albeit with a slightly cumbersome interface. It also allows preset switching and volume change. It is worth the price. Only complaint is the lack of instructions. It is fairly intuitive but I can't figure out what the check box does. This is an essential addition. It shows Bose that it can be done and their reluctance for a high end device is puzzling.

Thanks for nothing but frustration
By Upscalebohemian (Pcmac user)
This did absolutely nothing, and there was no helpful information at all in the text of the application. It just said no device found, and then no information on how to find it. Or in my case, because I’m in the country with no Wi-Fi, and use my personal hotspot with Bluetooth on my iPhone, no information at all on where to look for this information required. Nothing worked. Five dollars wasted on this guy. If you want money, think about your customer and user experience and anticipate roblems like this right in the application and how to fix them. I was literally better off before I even tried this. Waste of money. Waste of time.

Works great again!
By P-Ray-Always (Pcmac user)
I’m restoring my 5-star rating. My iPhone is now running iOS 12.1 and the app works great again.
This app worked great until I upgraded to IOS 12. Now it isn't so great. Alarm clock function is unreliable. Doesn't always find the speakers on my wifi network. Hope they fix it soon!
Original review
I wanted to use my SoundTouch 10 speaker as an alarm clock with streaming radio from my favorite radio station WGTS FM (Takoma Park,MD.) The station is just out of range for decent over the air reception on my clock radio. I installed the App and it immediately discovered my SoundTouch 10 device. I clicked on “set alarm clock” and set it up. It was very intuitive. No instructions seemed necessary. It woke me up this morning and that is what I expected it to do.
