★ ★ ★ iSimulate Overview

What is iSimulate? iSimulate is an app designed for iPhone developers to simulate multi-touch, accelerometer, compass, and GPS features in the iPhone Simulator. It wirelessly sends multi-touch events, accelerometer data, GPS location, and more to the application in the iPhone Simulator. It also allows developers to record high-quality videos of their applications and games.

Software Features and Description

1. A: When added to your project, the iSimulate SDK library creates a listening server on your iPhone Simulator that waits for a connection from an iPhone/iPod running the iSimulate client.

2. Not just that, but with iSimulate, you can speed up development, as running an application on the iPhone Simulator is more than 5 times faster than installing it on a device.

3. When such connection is established, the iSimulate client running on your iPhone/iPod captures all data from the accelerometer sensor, the touch events, the location and device ID and streams them to the server.

4. After installing it on your iPhone or iPod Touch, it will wirelessly send multitouch events, the accelerometer data, the GPS location and more, live to your application in the iPhone Simulator.

5. With iSimulate, Multi-touch, the Accelerometer, Compass and GPS are now in the iPhone Simulator.

6. If you do not develop iPhone applications, have Xcode and have the source code of the applications, DO NOT download iSimulate.

7. The iPhone and iPod Touch's most unique features are multi-touch and the accelerometer, but the iPhone Simulator could not help in "simulating" both.

8. ● Use Multi-touch, Accelerometer and Compass in the iPhone Simulator.

9. ➤ ➤ ➤ WARNING: iSimulate is ONLY for iPhone Developers.

10. “iSimulate shines when it comes to making high quality videos of gameplay that requires multi-touch and accelerometer actions! No more Youtube videos in a dark room!” - Eric Hartzog, developer of Stick Wars.

11. With iSimulate, you can now record stunning high quality videos for your applications and games.

  • mediocre -- laggy and needs update for iOS 6.1

    By ginobean (Pcmac user)

I was hoping to use it as part of a demo video for a game I just developed. But it's just too laggy -- it'll register events seconds after the fact, which sort of ruins it for action games (think of how many things can happen in a few seconds in an arcade game). also, sometimes the the touch up event doesn't get sent reliably, so even though I've released my finger, my simulator still shows it as being pressed. if you've going to drop an event, it can't be the touch up event -- that's a sure way to cause weird issues. Also, I think it additionally needs an update for iOS 6.1. But, given that I'm not even I can use it for a 5.1 demo, .. In sum, the basic idea is great but the execution is fairly shoddy and not good enough to be a production level tool.
  • Good start, long way to go.

They have done it for us developers, so thank you very much guys for building this app. Their support is also awesome, so I think they are really serious about this app. There are many shortcomings as they have already mentioned it in the app description, once they support other controls like tableview, scrollview etc, i think the app would be worth a lot more than $10
  • Laggy!

    By justcallmeo (Pcmac user)

If you need to simulate accelerometer motions, there's a free one called accelerometer-simulator that works just the same. I bought this app for the multi -touch and it's completely useless. It's extremely laggy! Fingers don't register or if they do can be up to 2 seconds delayed. If you need need this for touch, don't waste your $. If you need this for accelerometer, use a free one. Total waste of $16!
  • Awful!

    By MiltonAbe (Pcmac user)

Doesn't work and zero support... Just terrible.. DO NOT waiste your money.. I don't even know they keep this crap on app store. They never answered my e-mails. Even worse: no way to get a refund, they are making tons of money and making people very unhappy at the same time! Thumbs down!!!!!!!
