1. This app allows you to view and search the Tampa/Hillsborough County Public Library's collection of photos of the Tampa, Florida area photographed by the Burgert Brothers Photography Company from the 1890s [copies of earlier photos] until 1970.

2. While viewing the photo, you may download a copy or share the photo and accompanying information via email.

3. While viewing the slide show, you may again download a copy or share an image via email.

4. To search the entire collection for a word or a phrase (not a collection of words), you simply enter the phrase in the search box.

5. Finally, you may contact the library to purchase an enlarged copy by pressing the Order button.

6. A tap on a photo thumbnail will produce a larger image accompanied by a date, and description of the photo.

7. Another option is to view a slide show of the images.

8. The collection has 14,228 images.

9. All the purchase price goes to the library and none to the author of this app.

10. It is a wonderful collection and a window on times past.
