Install FSNotes app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using FSNotes on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "FSNotes"
The search will reveal the FSNotes app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once FSNotes is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including FSNotes.
Now enjoy FSNotes on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use FSNotes,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "FSNotes" » then Click "Install".
- FSNotes will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Native app with quick release cycle

This app is exactly what I was looking for - something native, open source, syncs across MacOS and iOS versions, and has quick release cycles to fix bugs. I used to use Evernote, but when they began imposing limits on the number of devices for the "free" account, I started looking elsewhere. this app lets me have control over my notes and have them on all my devices. The developer offers this program for free on GitHub and simply asks users to buy the version in the App Store to support the project.

Many note-taking apps are available for the Mac, but this app is the one I use because: * The sidebar is a useful tool for organizing notes into folders. * The search-and-create bar is a simple but convenient way to create new and search existing notes--and search is very fast. * Notes are stored as simple text files, which allows for their easy management and retrieval. * this app has many small conveniences, such as automatic closing quotes and braces, variable note-list spacing, vertical and horizontal orientations, and tags. * The developer responds quickly to bug reports and requests for new features. Many note-takimg apps try to do too much, and, in the process, become slow and cumbersome. For ease of use, speed, and support, this app is an excellent choice.

I used to use nvAlt and switched to this because it could handle plaintext files. I've used this app multiple times per day and trust it with all of my important notes. I've never had any data loss and I love the constant stream of development and new features.
