  • Could be better

    By Hdhahjs (Pcmac user)

This app could be a lot better. It needs to be able to tell what kind of weather is happening In your area while driving. I’m not goin drive 45mph or more when you have whiteout conditions and snow and ice in the roads. Also they need to have it be able to tell what roads your driving not just goin by speed to determine. Just cause I’m driving slower then 45 doesn’t me congestion areas. It’s the speed limit that don’t allow me to drive 45. Some people don’t take the expressway and like driving other roads. It’s a good app but can be a lot better. It generalizes too many factors for slow driving. Slow driving doesn’t mean lots of traffic it can mean that’s the speed limit. So if I get a ticket goin 45 in a 35 can I tell the cop the app made me do it. I have to drive 45 or better to get my insurance savings LMBO. So just send the ticket to AFI HAHAHA. Seriously this needs fixed.
  • The app needs serious upgrades

    By Arizona Driver (Pcmac user)

It gave me a few dings for supposedly driving over 80 mph and no trip report showing it, but only the report at top It was impossible to me even to get to that speed on a local highway driving at the peak of rush hour traffic. That annoyed me greatly. Another thing is with over sensitivity when calculating sudden brakes and acceleration. I have my car for eight years and I needed brake work only once in these eight years. I very lightly use the brakes and still this app dings me fairly often. The car I drive is old and does not accelerate well. The only areas I am shown with sudden acceleration is not on highways, but in low speed areas, such as parking areas. What criteria this app uses for determining sudden braking and acceleration? The industry states 15 miles per second and I am sure I do not speed or brake with these values, and yet this application shows me doing it in areas with low speeds, which is suspicious.
  • Gets you for uncontrollable stuff

    By hockeyohan19 (Pcmac user)

I work evening shift at a hospital (go to work at 1 and comes back at midnight) and this app gives me a ZERO out of 100 for time of day driving! First of all yes there are statistically a higher PERCENT of drunk driving accidents at night, but that’s partially because there are less accidents as a WHOLE at night. There are about 3 times more accidents during the day than night and most occur rush hour times between 8 and 10 and 3-6pm (I did research on this, it’s not just bs numbers) so how can you give me a 0 for time of day when I drive during no rush hour times ever since I only drive to work usually? SECOND of all I get a very low score for “driving to slow” because that means I “drive in congested zones” MAYYBEE it means I drive in the neighborhood I live in which isn’t congested? That doesn’t seem very dangerous to me especially since the app wants me going 45 on average. If I drive 45 mph all the time that seems kinda ridiculously dangerous to me!
  • Way to inaccurate

    By Mpd239 (Pcmac user)

This app is garbage. You get dinged if you’re going too fast, dinged if you’re going to slow, dinged if you drive at night, dinged if you use a hands free phone device Or Bluetooth, and so on. I’m not sure if it would even be possible to obtain a perfect or even semi-close to a perfect score. I work night shift and I drive at work for a living. You can’t turn it off for work hours, you can’t even go the speed limit on a residential street for goodness sake or it dings your score. This app is nothing more than a data collection device in my opinion. If I didn’t have to have it for an insurance discount, I would put it on blast even more and then delete it. It’s not even remotely accurate. I tried to drive just like the app expected based on the criteria it uses and it would have forced me to break laws and drive more dangerously than it says I am normally. I don’t have anything good to say about this app in the least, sorry.
