3. Select between multiple available locomotives via icons matching the appearance of each unique engine.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Using Lionel LionChief on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Lionel LionChief"
The search will reveal the Lionel LionChief app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Lionel LionChief is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Lionel LionChief.
Now enjoy Lionel LionChief on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Lionel LionChief,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Lionel LionChief" » then Click "Install".
- Lionel LionChief will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Ability to control multiple trains from a phone is a game changer

- Easy to learn and use

- Button layout is wonderful

- Surprisingly fast to connect to the locomotive

☹ Cons:

- One major bug where the iPhone 7 cannot be disconnected from the train

- App does not save prior settings

- Last update was 5 months ago, indicating lack of investment in the app

Needs improvement

One major bug is I can’t disconnect my iPhone 7 from the train. When I go into settings it shows that no train is connected when obviously i am connected considering I’m controlling the train. So when I want to go from Bluetooth to controller I have to close the app. Also I wish the app saved your prior settings including volume, speed control, etc. It shows how little money the app wants to spend since the last update was 5 months. Come on guys, it’s almost 2018.
Game changer

This is best innovation the app has had since puffing smoke. Being able to control multiple trains from my phone is a game changer. My 3 year old grandson immediately mastered the controls, and being able to dial down the top speed allows me to make sure the trains stay on the track during tight curves.

Turn the the app Chief Remote off! Turn on the Engine, so it can find the Bluetooth on the iPhone or iPad! Then open the app... It should hook right up with the the app App. Love it, because you can control the speed and sound of the engine! Helps me out because of my sons autism! He loves trains a lot, but doesn’t like the loud sounds. With this app I can control it👍🏻

I downloaded this app for the first time today, looking to connect it to my the app Mikado. I was pleased to find out that the app was easy to learn, and the button layout was wonderful. Also, I had no problems connecting to the locomotive, and it was surprisingly fast to connect. Great job, the app!
