Software Features and Description

1. Lionel Layout Control System connects and operates model locomotives, switches, accessories, track power or lighting on any model railroad.

2. The LCS App uses the Lionel LCS Wi-Fi adapter to connect your iPad to your LCS-equipped train layout.

3. Connect to a Lionel LEGACY base to view and edit your locomotive roster.

4. Build up track sections and control switches, power, and operating tracks with the touch of a finger.

5. Full functionality requires a Lionel Legacy Base.

6. To operate Lionel command-equipped locomotives a Lionel Base-1L is required.

7. Note: Connecting requires the LCS Wi-Fi and other LCS hardware control devices.

Install Lionel LCS app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Lionel LCS on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Lionel LCS"
The search will reveal the Lionel LCS app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Lionel LCS is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Lionel LCS.
Now enjoy Lionel LCS on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Lionel LCS Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Lionel LCS,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Lionel LCS" » then Click "Install".
- Lionel LCS will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Lionel LCS iPad

Having repeated problems with corruption of completed screens after exiting and returning to the program. Before exiting all appears to be working well but occasionally on returning to the program all or some screens appear to show ALL previous editing done on the screens with track icons scattered over the screen. Very disturbing in that the screen must be cleared and re-created. Memory leak???? Otherwise a great idea, hope to see it working soon!!!

Ok some of you may have been waiting for the lcs wifi to come out well it should come out today. I have my layout all planned and I have the power supply and I am ready to go this app is amazing
Promising Start

I agree with other reviewers on editing/saving-I lost work several times, which accounts for the two stars, otherwise I'd rate it higher. Think of this as what every not quite ready for prime time app (you need the the app wifi module to really see what it can do and the app just barely announced pricing but not when it's going to be delivered yet). For building your screens for layouts, It needs to add some more track pieces like the wye, half section turn, accessory pieces, and the ability to select, copy, and move connected sections around the screen. A promising hint of things to come.
Crashes, poor track selection

The app crashes when I try to take a picture for my roster. Would be nice to have a better library of locomotives and accessories. The track selection is horrendous. Trying to get wandering double track mainline to line up is impossible.
