Download and install the Lorex Ping 2 app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Lorex Ping 2 on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Lorex Ping 2"
- The search will reveal the Lorex Ping 2 app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Lorex Ping 2 is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Lorex Ping 2.
- Now enjoy Lorex Ping 2 on PC.

To get Lorex Ping 2 on Windows 11, check if there's a native Lorex Ping 2 Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing Lorex Ping 2:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Lorex Ping 2" » Click "Install" to install Lorex Ping 2
- Lorex Ping 2 will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Works Ok

I just downloaded and set up. Everything worked as advertised. I did have the same experience as another who rated this app before me, and couldn't get any data entered; the app would not respond to touch on the data entry fields. I finally figured it out... You have to touch at the VERY RIGHT EDGE to place the cursor.
I entered all my cameras manually using info from the other Ping app. Worked flawlessly. Not sure if i like it better or not, but now i have two options. Time will tell if this app actually is better or not. For now, its getting four stars.

One of the worst apps

You can tell from the update history that this app doesn't get a lot of attention. This is surprising when you spend several hundred dollars on a home security system to find out it doesn't allow you to see any of your security footage. The most recent iOS update does not allow for any push notifications from the cameras. If you try to contact support you either wait over an hour on hold or get nobody to help! To make matters worse is when you finally get a hold of someone and when they say they'll call you back, they never do. This app is also not optimized for the screen size of iPhones that have been out since 2014! Get with the times.

I do NOT recommend Lorex cameras for baby monitoring

Worst part of this app and the the app service: if you iPhone or the camera loses the internet connection it does not automatically attempt to reconnect the phone to the camera stream.
When you are a parent using it for a baby monitor this is a big deal as it can drop out while you sleep, this rendering it useless as a monitor. Note that I am in an apartment with many potential sources of WiFi I interference, so I know have one camera hardwired over Ethernet. But that doesn’t help me when my iPhone loses connectivity.

Notifications just stopped

Worked great for months then just stopped receiving notifications with out any changes. Motion is still recording, just not getting the notifications. Tried resetting camera's, router, modem, nothing has worked.
