Clever app... does what it promises
By Robert H. Heath (Pcmac user)
This app, which is modeled on a website with the same features, delivers although it takes some trial-and-error to use it efficiently.
I’d give it a fifth star if some of the following features were added:
• Saved “Scene” parameters. When saving a “scene,” it appears that the background picture and time zone is not saved to the scene, forcing the user to redo those steps when opening a saved scenario. It would be nice to have a checklist of parameters that get saved with each scene.
• iCloud Support. For those of us who split our time between an iPad and iPhone, it would be useful to have iCloud support so saved scenes are available on any device.
• User-selectable shadow colors. I bought this app to simulate the impact of new building construction on neighbors’ houses. It would be great if I could select different shadow colors to illustrate shadows from the proposed construction as compared to existing structures.
• Animation Export. Finally, I’d love the ability to animate a scene throughout a day and export that as a video to Photos, or to send it as text or email attachment. I was able to use the iPhone screen capture to approximate this, but would love to see it as a native feature.
I recommend this app.
