    The videos are great however the app needs tons of improvements. 1. The workouts that are preprogrammed are good but hard to navigate through. 2. You can't move forward in a workout. So if you accidentally back out of the workout or the app closes you have to start from the beginning. 3. There are optional sound ques you can choose but if you turn them on it will stop your music player. 4. Calibrating your hangboard is extremely time consuming. You have the option of placing the targets where you want on your board but the targets and the picture of the hangboard are so small it's hard to place the targets exactly where you want them even when using a touchscreen stylist. 5. General navigation in the app is not as user friendly as it could be. Basically what you have is a great idea with great information put into a poorly designed app. I'm hoping there is a team who will reach out to their users and get ideas. I know I have several including fixing these issues. I'll wait to see if they update before I delete the app. Until then the videos are still useful.

    Overly complicated, why am I doing burpees? I wanted a finger workout, too complicated and overly expensive. Watch his YouTube vids for free this is not good.

    1) I am 50 years old, and predominantly an obstacle course racer. A buddy of mine turned me on to hangboards in order to help with grip and upper body strength. Naturally this progressed, and I have recently joined a rock-climbing gym. I started using the Hangboard Guru 3-finger BEGINNER routine (Strength and endurance), and it was brutal at first. I had been working with the hangboard for about 2 months before purchasing the HANGBOARD GURU app, so I kinda had a base of some kind. But Neils routine of 3-finger pull-up's were still brutal. After a month, the routine was not as taxing, so I moved-up a routine. So I started working on the 25-minute INTERMEDIATE strength and endurance routine. (Pull-up's, deadhangs, hanging leg raises). At first it was extremely difficult, but I am completing it easier and easier now. 2) With the help of the HANGBOARD GURU app, I am doing well at the rock-climbing gym. It is only three weeks, but I am tackling V3 bouldering routes, and I am sending 5.10 climbs. People say that is pretty good for the short time I have been pulling on plastic rocks.. (Thanks also to Neils YouTube training videos)! wink emoticon 3) At the rock-climbing gym, I can send "some" V3 routes, but others have me frustrated with failure. The ones that start with overhangs, and rely on grip strength and technique, I can do well. But the ones that start with small crimp holds...well...they have me stopped dead. Upon suggestion, I changed my HANGBOARD GURU routine, and focusing more on half-crimp and strength routines. I am currently working on a 20-minute INTERMEDIATE strength routine which has me doing rope-assisted one-arm pull-up's, half-crimp deadhangs, and hanging straight-leg raises. (I touch the ceiling with my feet). In closing, this app is fantastic. It is not only great for climbing and bouldering. But you can use some of the HANGBOARD GURU routines for general upper body conditioning. the app is also updating the app with cooler and user-friendly features. Don't hesitate if you are a climber, or if you purchased a hangboard and just want to work on upper body strength. Kudos to the app Gresham on a fantastic app.
