What is Xenowerk?

Xenowerk is a top-down action shooter game developed by Pixelbite. The game is set in an underground science lab where a scientific experiment has gone wrong, and the player's objective is to destroy all the nests and eliminate all mutants to prevent them from spreading. The game has 70 levels with increasing difficulty, and the player can upgrade their weapons and armor by gathering pickups from slain mutants. The game also features special powers to boost the player's offensive and a performance-based rating system.

Best Twin Stick Shooter so far, Amazing Game

This game is incredibly fun. Amazingly responsive and precise controls (both touchscreen and MFI controller), beautiful graphics, nice animations, great enemies and enemy variety, tons of armors and weapons to unlock, nice power sets to add variety and tactics, immersive sounds, and a great scoring/unlock system that has you seeking kill sprees for the bonus points. The only twin stick shooters that come close to this game in fun and quality are the same developers Space Marshals 1 and 2 and the two Halo games (Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike). I love and recommend all five. For how little all five cost, you can't go wrong (I've had more fun with each of them than with games that cost 2 or 3 (or in the case of this app, 10 times) as much). All five games work great with touchscreen controls, but all five are even better with an external MFI controller, so thank you to the developer for including controller support.

I actually really enjoy this game — it has that basic Metroid feel to it — but my only major complaint is that the tvOS and iOS versions do not sync with iCloud; this game plays wonderfully on tv, but that fact that gameplay does not sync across devices ruined it for me — that were the case, I would easily give this app 5 starts. Begrudgingly, I deleted this game a while back because of the lack of implementation, and check its update status every so often... 3 years later, no change. 😞 *** And, for the reviewers saying this game is a ripoff/scam of Space Marshalls might wanna do just an IOTA of research, or maybe even tap on the “More Apps By This Developer” link... it’s the same developer 🙃 ***

Great graphics, gameplay, and controls. IAPs are TRULY optional. Play as much as you want. More please! Thank you Pixelbite for creating a game for true gamers. I encourage all players to purchase at least one In App Purchase to support this developer so they can make more games for us. I also encourage all mobile gamers to STOP supporting the greedy developers who load their games with paywalls.
Gets boring fast

This game has all the right ingredients. Amazing, smooth 3d graphics. Great explosions and repulsive mutants. But where this fame misses it is the it really goes nowhere. Despite upgrading weapons and hazmat suit a couple times and playing it for several weeks, I found that each level is about the same as the previous ones. Yes it gets harder. There's nothing really new and exciting enough to sustain interest. Great potential. Developers, plz tweak and get some ideas from the Implosion play book.
