What is Freeview Aim Antenna? Freeview Aim is an app that helps users easily locate Freeview UK and Saorview (Ireland) transmission towers. The app provides a list of all stations within 120 miles of the user's current location and displays the position of the transmission towers in relation to the user. The app can be used to adjust antennas for local reception or to locate faraway towers for DXing. The app includes features such as compass and satellite map pointing, station filtering, antenna polarization and transmission wattage display, and the ability to save maps and stations to a DX list.
1. Freeview Aim will list all stations within 120 miles of your current geographical position as indicated by your iPhone/iPad.
2. -In the tower pointing and the all tower map views, you can drag the home icon to say a different part of the roof/yard and the calculations will follow.
3. With Freeview Aim you can view the position of the transmission towers in relationship to you.
4. This will allow mapping of super long range reception or help in obscure DX attempts or information inquiries.
5. This can be used to help adjust your antenna for local reception, or even the far far away tower that you have been trying to "DX" for quite a while.
6. -You can filter station list based on distance or power.
7. -In the tower pointing map view the map can be updated if the users gps determination has changed.
8. -You can sort the displayed stations by distance, strength, power or even it's bearing from you.
9. -Will display the three strongest (estimated) towers (transmitters) to your position.
10. -You can display all transmission towers within a range.
11. The list can be pulled up anytime and the pointing maps reviewed.
