Aim/point to Freeview UK & Saorview (Ireland)Transmission towers easily. Use either a satellite map or compass! Freeview Aim will list all stations within 120 miles of your current geographical position as indicated by your iPhone/iPad. All UK (including Northern Ireland, Shetlands, the Channel Islands etc.) and Republic of Ireland transmitters (Saorview) are included. A few Saorview repeaters may not be included due to lack of information. With Freeview Aim you can view the position of the transmission towers in relationship to you. This can be used to help adjust your antenna for local reception, or even the far far away tower that you have been trying to "DX" for quite a while. Whether you are on your roof or turning your rotor from your living room, Freeview Aim can help you. Important Features in this release: -Point to station with either a compass or a satellite map! -You can display all transmission towers within a range. -Will display the three strongest (estimated) towers (transmitters) to your position. -You can list the available data for a station -View the transmission site antenna. -You can filter station list based on distance or power. -Quick view of Freeview TV guide - for fun. -Display Antenna Polarization, Transmission Wattage, Channels and bearing at a glance. -You can sort the displayed stations by distance, strength, power or even it's bearing from you. -Not server based. Most functionality will run without a network connection. Compass pointing will work offline. If a particular map was previously loaded, even mapping functionality may work offline. -Added ability to add stations/save maps to a DX list. The list can be pulled up anytime and the pointing maps reviewed. -Added a search for site tower option. This will allow mapping of super long range reception or help in obscure DX attempts or information inquiries. -In the tower pointing map view the map can be updated if the users gps determination has changed. -In the tower pointing and the all tower map views, you can drag the home icon to say a different part of the roof/yard and the calculations will follow. -Use locations based on Actual GPS Entered GPS (IOS 6.1 and higher only) Postcode (IOS 6.1 and higher only) Street Address (IOS 6.1 and higher only) Or a previously saved location.
