★ ★ ★ 2 Days Overview

What is 2 Days? 2 Days is a task management app that helps you focus on what needs to be done today without losing track of everything else. It offers a simple and flexible approach to task management, allowing you to organize your tasks into lists and view them by due date. The app is easy to use and includes features such as repeatable tasks, syncable backups, customizable settings, and more.

Software Features and Description

1. - Actionable :: include a phone number you want to call, an email address you want to contact, or a website you want to visit, and 2 Days will initiate that action when you complete the task.

2. The main view of 2 Days is a list of tasks due Today, to keep you focused on getting things done.

3. Lists let you organize your tasks however you want, but no matter how many Lists you create, you can see everything due Today, Tomorrow, and Later from the All Tasks List.

4. - Shareable :: select a task or group of tasks to share via AirDrop, email, copy, or print options.

5. - Customizable :: change how the icon badge functions, the default list for new tasks, and the sound used for reminders.

6. When you complete the task or swipe left, you'll be given the option to call or message a number, email an address, or open a URL.

7. - Powerful :: 2 Days has a full URL scheme, including x-callback-url support, so you can create new tasks directly from other great apps*.

8. Swipe right on a task from the list view to change the due date with a single tap.

9. Again, these tasks are divided into Today, Tomorrow, and Later so you can focus on the items in each List that need to get done next.

10. - Repeatable :: browse and recycle your Completed tasks, or set a recurring reminder if you know you'll need to do that task again.

11. If you need to get even more focused, you can use Lists to view a specific group of tasks separately.

  • Today. Tomorrow. Later. What else is there?

    By buetowmt (Pcmac user)

I've tried all sorts of ToDo, list and reminder apps. I have to have time and date reminders. I need to see what's due today and what's coming up. But as it turns out, what I really just need is a simple view that helps me focus on what I need to do today, what's coming up tomorrow and what's beyond that. this app is that app. You can use Lists to categorize all your tasks if that's your thing (or turn them off and just have one category of stuff you need to do or be reminded about). The beauty of 2Days is its simplicity. It helps you focus on today, keep tabs on what's immediately next (Tomorrow) and put anything beyond that into Later. It's simple enough that it helps me focus on the things I need to get done but it has enough features that my regular tasks and important reminders don't fall through the cracks. Universal app with Dropbox (or iCloud) sync makes it just that much better as I work quite a bit on my iPad. A searchable "Completed" Log helps keep track of what you've accomplished and when and can easily recycle a reminder back to your list of things to get done. This developer's apps (he also has 1Writer) have a brilliant mix of simplicity and focus with a lot of under-the-hood features available if you want to use them.
  • Keeps it simple

    By Tlobdell (Pcmac user)

This is the best to do app! I've tried them all. The simplicity is great. You choose today, tomorrow, or later. I find it to be especially useful for the grocery store or any other errands. For those staples that you buy frequently at the grocery store, just swipe to tomorrow and it's on your list the next time you're at the store. Definitely one of my most used apps! I've tried many to do apps. I love the simplicity of this one! So quick and easy to move to the next day. I also love that you can filter to different lists. When I'm running errands, I want to be able to see that list without it being cluttered by all of my other to do's. Would be great if you could set a reminder for certain tasks as easily as moving to the next day.
  • Great for simple things

    By FM_M (Pcmac user)

I use a more full-featured project manager for most things, but this is great for the little details that fly by in a busy day and are at risk of getting lost. The number of times someone says "hey can you re-send me that email" or you want to look something up... ephemeral bits that get lost if you don't do them immediately. this app is greater capturing them. I have only two quibbles: deleting an item should not have TWO confirmation popups, and it needs an update (last update was in 2014?!). Granted, it works really well as it sits, but I'd like to know its not abandoned, and while it's really solid now, there are a few refinements it could take on: I'd love to see an update for iOS 9, so that they can add it to the Share Sheet in other apps, landscape support for iPhone 6, and other modern features. (And maybe to demonstrate that it's not abandoned.)
  • Simplicity at Its Best

    By Matt Kurk (Pcmac user)

I can't tell you how many todo lists apps I've tried out, I constantly come back to the simplicity of 2Days. I paid for the upgrade (well worth it) but have recently had to restore purchases every few days to get all the functionality back (it never loses my data tho! It's maybe two or three taps). Hoping the developer might show the app some love again so I'm not nervous to keep relying on it. If you like keeping written todo lists, this app will finally give a digital experience that is equally satisfying.
