What is Catholic Devotions? The app provides a collection of Catholic devotions and litanies compiled by Rev. Bonaventure Hammer, O.F.M. It includes morning and evening prayers, prayers for Holy Mass, Confession, Communion, and Adoration. Additionally, there are prayers to Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Suffering Redeemer, Blessed Virgin Mary, and for all things necessary to salvation. The app also features four approved litanies, including the Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Litany of Loreto, and Litany of All Saints. The app also has a reminder feature to set daily or location-based reminders to encourage prayer.
1. When you attend the mass (but it is not advisable to use iPhone during the mass), there are "Prayers at Holy Mass".
2. When you are about to receive the Body and Blood of Christ (it is not advisable to use iPhone during the mass), there are "Prayers before Communion".
3. When you want to go for Confession and you want to prepare yourself better by praying, there are "Prayers before Confession".
4. When you have received Sacrament of Reconciliation, there are "Prayers after Confession".
5. When you have finished attending a mass, there are "Prayers after Mass".
6. When you have received the Communion, there are also "Prayers after Communion".
7. For the location-based reminder, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
8. When you just wake up and about to begin the day, there are "Morning Prayers".
