Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using Fresh on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Fresh"
The search will reveal the Fresh app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Fresh is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Fresh.

I've tried not using this app on a new computer, and it has changed my mental model so much in the years that it's just not feasilble. This app is essential for getting the most out of your time.

The usefulness of an app like this really depends on how you compute. I had not expected to like this all that much, but it has really grown on me. I don’t use the top bar all that often, but I love having current projects and files readily available on the bottom at the click of a key combo. There’s more I could leverage, but this feature alone does it for me. I do agree with the reviewer who has no use for the cooler (which is the bit I use the most): each component should be optional. Developers need to remember that we all work differently.

Hopefully, they'll update this. But why didn't they wait until they'd perfected it? I'm working on a book. Every morning I click this app expecting to see the file there. Never. And no, I haven't excluded it in any of the confusing exclude options. What I see instead cluttering up the space are folders such as my entire Home folder or my entire Desktop. You can choose to exclude a folder called "Home," for example. But if you do, since every single file you have is inside the Home folder, will that eliminate everything? It's hard to tell. So far this is very imperfect and amazingly useless. Two days later: I've moved this up a couple of stars. I found that by flushing out all files and starting from scratch, some of the problems disappeared. The files I've just worked on now come up. I'd still like to eliminate folders like "Home" and "Download" that pop up, but again, if I do, will all the files in these folders be nixed?

Bought this app for one thing, drag files into a queue "The Cooler" so I can remember to get back to them (edit, print, email, etc). In order to do that, you have to have the app running, which is fine, but for some reason they don't have a menu icon that is out of the way. You can drag your files to a "Dropzone" or use a hot key, but the app has to be open, sitting there in your dock. It's annoying! And when I went to the message boards on their site and searched "menu icons" to see if anyone else had requested a menulet, I found a few posts. But these posts dated back to 2009 with more recent ones, and nothing has been done! They say that if you don't want the this app icon in your dock, you have to download another 3rd party app that will hide it. Sounds like a pain. I'm not an app developer, but I can't quite see that adding a menulet option is really that complicated. Just let me put a little pea pod in my menu bar!!!!! Bummed that I wasted my money. Off to go find another app. :(
