I was one of the people that originally rated this with one star. Since that time, the app has improved greatly. It is a little more complex than I was expecting, in comparison to MS Project, but that complexity is matched with equal value. I Highly recommend Projector now. My only great complaint was that there isn't a good way to share projects made within Projector with desktop users, and that there wasn't any way to convert to or from MS Project. Projector has added the feature where you can email reports and gantt charts from the application, which is a nice half step. I have also discovered that MS Project is a closed file format, so it is unfair to ding Projector or any other application for lack of file compatibility.
  • Got it. Love it. Even went for Mac desktop too.

I was looking for a properly project management app that really designed well for the iPad, something that would let me use phases and show them on a Gantt chart that I could share with others. this app does all that and has proved reliable and robust. As an example of the more friendly user interface: I am used to specifying the predecessors and successors for Tasks, but on this app you just drag a line from the end of one Task on he chart view to the Task you want to "link" it to. Simple, easy, fast! After getting my project into this app on the iPad within the first day I was itching to be able to more with it on my Mac, just because I can enter more text faster and generally play around with it on a bigger screen - so I plumped the $100 for the desktop Mac this app too, after some hesitation... Very glad I did and now can transfer my project back and forth from iPad to Mac using iTunes and wireless sync. I am really looking forward to see if the forthcoming iCloud integration is going to allow me to work seamlessly from Mac to iPad without have to manually sync...
  • Yes. Clunky.

The UI looks pretty, but has very poor functionality. You can't change the order of tasks once you've created them. The only alternative is to delete them and recreate them. Tasks can be grouped under processes, but after you create a new task inside a process, creating a new task puts it outside, so you can't just make a bunch in succession, you have to pause and tap on the process bar first before creating the next task. Moving and resizing are separate modes and you have to hit the task bars very precisely or you end up scrolling the view. If you manage to move them, it's very hard to position them accurately because your finger is in the way and can't see what you're doing, and once you lift your finger, it goes out of the move or resize mode immediately. It would be much better if it had a global editing mode that stayed in effect until you'd finished arranging everything. Instead, you have to tap the bar and select whether to delete, move or resize, EVERY TIME you want to make an edit. I'm using this on an iPad. I can't imagine using this on a smaller screen. It just seems like they took a desktop app (even then it wouldn't have gotten too many stars from me) and brute-forced it into an iOS format. NO! Dudes! Finger-tip != mouse pointer!
