Software Features and Description

1. The Japanese era system identifies a year by the combination of the era name (Gengou or Nengou) and the year number within the era.

2. - Application badge can show this year number in the Japanese era or the Christian era.

3. This application would be very useful if you are working with the governments, municipal offices and/or certain companies in Japan.

4. "Gengou" is a quick reference of the Japanese era system.

5. - Texts can be shown in Japanese or English independently of the default language setting.

6. Please note that two Gengou schemes were used in Parallel from 1331 to 1392 during Nanboku-chō period.

Download and install the Gengou app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Gengou"
The search will reveal the Gengou app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Gengou is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Gengou.
Now enjoy Gengou on PC.

Using Gengou on Mac OS:
Install Gengou on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Gengou:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Gengou" » Click "Install" to install Gengou
- Gengou will now be available on your windows start-menu.

I like it, but there’s a problem

I believe this is the same app I had a few years ago when it was free, and I liked it then. I still like it, but there’s a UI problem. On my iPhone 8 running the latest version of iOS, when I try to tap the settings button, it just scrolls the year. It looks like the year scroller overlaps the settings button and is on top of it. When this is fixed I will like this app very much.

Simple app does exactly what it's supposed to do, conveniently... but needs an overdue compatibility update to continue being supported in future releases of iOS.
